I didn’t start crossdressing in “women’s” clothes, I stopped performative crossdressing. Period. While there’s nothing wrong with wearing whatever clothes you like, I started wearing the clothes that felt specific to my gender sense. “Men’s” clothing was never my clothing.

(In fact, I have exhorted people who want to get more involved in WordPress to join. When they don’t, they don’t find their place in the community.)

Been through this before, with #FriendFeed. Only the death of Twitter is the death of a piece of infrastructure, on top of the moving of relationships. But I doubt I would have my WordPress life as I know it today without Twitter.

Just to be clear: it's not twitter.com we're mourning. it's each other. I like you.

I dabbled in JavaScript and PHP before picking up jQuery or WordPress, but that was just for me to get a taste for what it was like. To see if I liked coding. I did, and really enjoyed learning the "vanilla code" within the context of something bigger I was using daily

When I started, I learned jQuery before mastering #JavaScript #WordPress before mastering PHP Don't let gatekeepers say you can't learn X without learning the vanilla code. That is BS BUT knowing the code means you can learn almost any framework/library built in that language
