For the first time, Sevillian company Atalaya delves into the universe of Molière and pays tribute to him, in celebration of the 400th anniversary of his birth. Atalaya's "The Miser", in musical style, includes twenty songs, spices up the French playwright's text with continuous references to the present day, changes the names of the characters for those of recognisable figures of our country. It constitutes a serious critique of the hypocrisy and misery of the powerful, as was the original text in 1668.
