'Junglas' by Elio Rodriguez exhibited at the MUA

From 27 January to 1 May - MUA - Opening: 27 January at 7 pm.

Cuban artist Elio Rodríguez's jungles, ceibas, mangroves speak neither of art nor of nature, but of Afro-Cuban identity, without the Western influence. An identity that is untamed, fierce, rooted in the earth, impetuous and unbridled. His paintings, drawings, sketches, videos and, especially, his soft sculptures, are a way of entertaining, a game of volumes, textures and colours in which forms intertwine, rub against each other, enjoy themselves and invade every corner of the space.
