ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message[edit]

Scale of justice 2.svgHello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:43, 24 November 2020 (UTC)

Organized labour project[edit]

Thank you for joining the Organized Labour project. I've been a participant in the project since 2006 and am helping with a revival of it. As part this we are introducing a new membership system, which will help with communications among participants. This involves creating a membership file for each participant within your user space (you can see an example of my membership card here: User:Goldsztajn/WikiProjectCards/WikiProject Organized Labour). This system is already in operation within a number of wikiprojects (such as Women in Red and Medicine). You will not have to do anything, myself or someone else from the project will create the relevant file within your userspace. However, I am conscious that it is not polite to change an editor's user space without notice. If I don't hear from you in the negative, I will go ahead with making the change after the 18th of January. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Many thanks for supporting the project, in solidarity, --Goldsztajn (talk) 10:42, 11 January 2021 (UTC)

Hello, comrade. I appreciate your tenacity trying to change the absurd description of DPRK's regime. User talk:EJA94 and Autism spectrum[edit]

Hi Vif12vf,

I was at a family member's home and having trouble signing into my account through my mobile phone and the password reset wasn't properly working either, so I created another account to edit.

It wasn't until I returned back to my home when I accessed my laptop that I saw the edit warning template on the talk page.

Sorry for any innocence, and I wanted to formally apologize. I will bring all edits to the discussion page before editing in the future.

Thanks, and take care!

Golden Dawn (Greece)[edit]

Hi— my name is Phil (Neonorange) — I noticed you just restored a pending change to this article that I had reverted, the 'Banned date' parameter in the infobox. Before I reverted that addition, I checked the entire article and found no mention that the party had been actually banned. Most of the leadership seems to have been convicted of crimes and the party had been described as a criminal organization, but no indication it had been banned. In addition, the last estimate of support in the Greek parliamentary elections (2020) indicated less than 2%, but still indication of party activity. I checked the refs, but don't read Greek, so there might be support there. At any rate, for the banned parameter to be used, there should be some explicit sourcing. It's not a question ideology, rather verifiability. If you have verifying information, I would like to read it—you never know when such stuff might be needed. — Neonorange (talk to Phil) (he, they) 01:35, 30 September 2021 (UTC)

Iroquois[edit]

Hello my name is Elxa izhne. I came here to your talk page to ask you some questions about the status of the Iroquois government and weather it should be referred to as a democracy or confederacy or something entirely different. I noticed you reverted one of my previous edits from listing the Iroquois as a"participatory democracy" back to their former listing of a confederation. I would like to question your reasoning for that edit and possibly debate you on it if this is the appropriate space to do so. The line between democracy and confederation can be fairly blurry especially when referring to the Iroquois. From what I understand about the Iroquois government and legislator the Iroquois system of government can be roughly defined as either a tightly nit confederation that makes decisions in a democratic way or loosely bound democracy who's individual states act in an independent fashion (similar to the USA previous to the civil war). Regardless I would be happy to discuss details with you anytime. --Elxa izhne (talk) 03:13, 21 October 2021 (UTC)

The system of the Iroquois Confederation is simply defined as a confederation of tribes where each tribe effectively governs themselves. Participatory democracy would imply that they have some kind of elected assembly of people elected by a group of people for the sake of representing their interests, this is not how the confederation works, instead they have a mostly ceremonial council of unelected elders with little real power and no central authority. Also linking to "democratic confederalism" is inappropriate as that is a specific ideology created for the kurdish PKK, and has nothing to do with any native american peoples! Hey I am editing this page about Khaatumo State of Somalia however is keeps reverting which is really annoying I wanted to add some new information and update the map which is shown on Google. Democratic Society Party[edit]

I read the article Kurdish Nationalism and that is not what the DTP aimed for. This is why I removed the wl. Yes Kurds wanted to be allowed to speak their own language and be recognized as a people, but that's not Kurdish nationalism as described in the article Kurdish nationalism, that's a basic human right. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 16:44, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

National Liberation Army (Colombia)[edit]

Hi there, in your edit description you said: "Not like that no, that is unusual!"; what do you mean by this? Alssa1 (talk) 11:18, 19 November 2021 (UTC)

Ideologies are usually not listed with visible parentheses, regardless of wether they highlight the fact that different versions exist or not, so long as it still links to the correct article. You also added two extra brackets (]]) by mistake. Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 13:14, 19 November 2021 (UTC)
So what if it's supposedly not 'usually done'? Surely the question should be about whether there is an encyclopedic value in adding this? Alssa1 (talk) 15:02, 19 November 2021 (UTC)

Infobox of several former states of Afghanistan[edit]

Hi Vif12vf,

You deleted

a) Spoken languages

b) Ethnic groups

c) Minorities religions

in the infobox of several articles of former states of Afghanistan, such as "Kingdom of Afghanistan" and "Republic of Afghanistan".

Why did you delete these contents?

Khatumo State ‎[edit]

Hello, Vif12vf, I saw your edit in Khatumo State and User talk:Cayn Historian. From what I can see, Cayn Historian is indeed participating in an editing war and deserves a warning. However, an editing war is only possible with an opponent. By sending a warning only to the Cayn Historian, the other side in this editing war will be assured of their legitimacy. I expect you to handle this fairly.--Freetrashbox (talk) 04:22, 5 December 2021 (UTC)

December 2021 =[edit]

I don't understand why my editing was disruptive? I was just trying to make Wikipedia sound more neutral on this topic. Why should one page be named "Anti abortion movements" and the other "Abortion rights movements"? What, are you trying to insert your own politics here? WIkipedia, after all, states that all pages should have a neutral point of view. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thewikipedian7534 (talkcontribs) 02:25, 7 December 2021 (UTC)

The page should not have been moved without discussing the matter on the talk-page first. Furthermore, pages should preferably use the most common name for the subject! Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 03:15, 7 December 2021 (UTC)

Fair points[edit]

I didn't want to start an edit war with you, but why do you feel that "centre-left" is better or more accurate than "far-left" which is a strong embrace of socialist principles? Th78blue (They/Them/Their • talk) 01:37, 15 December 2021 (UTC)

It is a matter of what is sourced or not, not what we personally feel about the party. Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 01:43, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
From what I could find, the sources showed that it was either centre-left or far-left. In other words, that perhaps the most fair description is to put both (like on Red Party (Norway) that says for "Political position", "Left-wing to far-left." Perhaps it should say for the Socialist Party of Chile something like "Centre-left to far-left" then. Including both, and both wikilinks? What is your problem?[edit]

Hey, I have been trying to update Janata Party page to keep it updated with correct information. But you are reverting all the changes. For all information, I have provided required citation. I have also given reason in edit summary for the reason to update some of the things. Swamyarmy39 (talk) 05:04, 25 December 2021 (UTC)

The Janata Party has been defunct for decades, the info you are adding is outright incorrect! Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 14:24, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
Defunct for decades?? Subramanian Swamy was its president till 2013. I have added that V.S. Chandralekha was Tamil Nadu president of Janata Party from 1992 to 2013 with credible link. But you removed it. I think it is you who must be "blocked from editing", not me. Swamyarmy39 (talk) 17:52, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
There are multiple parties with similar names in India, you are most likelly confusing this one for a different one! Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 22:02, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
No, you are wrong. You are not Indian so you don't have much knowledge about it. In 2013, Janata Party[formed in 1977] was merged with BJP.[1] So you should not revert the new information which I am adding to make Wikipedia article on Janata Party more credible. Swamyarmy39 (talk) 10:14, 26 December 2021 (UTC)
Nationality is irrelevant when it comes to editing on wikipedia! Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 13:16, 26 December 2021 (UTC)

Please be a little understanding![edit]

Hello, I get that you want to be thorough but you keep reverting back to a version with tons of grammatical mistakes and outdated information and then call me out on "vandalism"? I am referring to the TİP page. Come on, huh? I am relying on proper sources, I am a researcher on the topic and the sources do not disagree with what I edit. I applaud the attention comrade but a little leeway please. Rhysyale (talk) 11:06, 25 December 2021 (UTC)

You aren't adding sources to the article, and the party advocating socialism does not indicate that they have abandoned their ideological line, communists do advocate socialism! Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 14:26, 25 December 2021 (UTC)

ANTARSYA Page[edit]

From my knowledge provided that I live in Greece, I know that ANTARSYA has these two Ideologies, also the Greek Wikipedia page has Maoism too in its Ideology. Let me know why you did this change. Yours sincerely, Balkanic Balkanic (talk) 11:16, 27 December 2021 (UTC)

Sena Dynasty[edit]

please explain why you reverted my edit on sena dynasty article, brahmakshatriya means warrior Brahmins,I just wrote two extra words also that in brackets to make it easy to understand for the readers.is it wrong? thanks Miller110 (talk) 14:09, 30 December 2021 (UTC)

Translations for such terms do not belong in every article where the term is used, but rather in the article for the term itself! Vif12vf/Tiberius (talk) 14:13, 30 December 2021 (UTC)

brahmakshatriya is not a common word.thats why I tried to make it simple. please add it,it will make the job easier for the readers. thanks Miller110 (talk) 15:18, 30 December 2021 (UTC)

What is your problem?[edit]

I tried adding sources but u keep reverting it. Why? I knew that I searched sources and you keep reverting! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.104.57.209 (talk) 03:59, 9 January 2022 (UTC)

Can any of your sources used be found in Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Perennial sources, if none of them can, the sources cannot be verified and backed up, and it therefore breaks Wikipedia:No original research which is Wikipedia articles must not contain original research. The phrase "original research" (OR) is used on Wikipedia to refer to material—such as facts, allegations, and ideas—for which no reliable, published sources exist." You yourself state that you searched them up, which proves the point of WP:OR, if you cannot find sources that are counted as reliable on Wikipedia. Using WP:OR sources will lead to reverts such as Vif12vd's reverts on you. You have already been blocked before, and engaging in reverts that also break WP:OR, will probably lead to an extended block period. BastianMAT (talk) 12:24, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
