SweetCanadianMullet (talk) 04:53, 4 July 2019 (UTC)Proposed deletion of Michael Sokolove[edit]
![Notice](http://webcf.waybackmachine.org/web/20211207050554im_/https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/7/74/Ambox_warning_yellow.svg/48px-Ambox_warning_yellow.svg.png)
The article Michael Sokolove has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Interstellarity T 🌟 18:50, 5 July 2019 (UTC)

References[edit]
Hello! There's a good tool for making neat references in articles that I don't know if you have come across yet, the ref toolbar. Check the "This screencast walks through the citation wizard of RefToolbar" video here: Help:Referencing_for_beginners#Using_refToolbar. What's really helpful is the fields marked by a magnifyingglass-autofill button. Paste a url into the url-field, click the button, and often enough info will be autofilled. Often works well with gbooks-urls (not pagenumbers, add that manually). Sometimes you get some nonsense you must remove, but it's generally helpful. Disambiguation link notification for January 5[edit]
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Postgraduate Work, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Prince Paul (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Could you take a look at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Jeff_Winkless please - am I going mad? Have I completely misunderstood WP policy all of this time? What do you think? Cardiffbear88 (talk) 12:27, 11 May 2020 (UTC)
- Cardiffbear88, I confess, I know nothing about this guy, or about voice acting in general. There do appear to be some minor Google Books-type sources, but no clue if they're reliable. None of the existing article sources/links are that great, in my opinion. Caro7200 (talk) 15:13, 11 May 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for taking a look! I think I’m thrown by the insistence that an article doesn’t need secondary sources if it can be verified by primary sources... have you seen that before? I’m very surprised to hear it from such a long-standing editor. Cardiffbear88 (talk) 16:33, 11 May 2020 (UTC)
- Cardiffbear88, I know with the albums project, many editors feel that stuff like track lists and credits don't need to be sourced, as the album (object) itself is the source. Ross Thomas[edit]
Hi, glad to find another Ross Thomas fan! I've written numerous articles about Richard Condon and Michael Gilbert books, among others, and finally decided I no longer have the strength of character to get involved with another author. I think The Cold War Swap, Chinaman's Chance, Briarpatch, The Fourth Durango, The Eighth Dwarf, Out on the Rim, and Twilight at Mac's Place would be good places to start. If you get them going, I will almost certainly add to the individual articles. Thanks! Hayford Peirce (talk) 14:48, 19 June 2020 (UTC)

Negro Sinful Songs by Lead Belly[edit]
Hello,
Thanks for clearing that up about Discogs. I know Discogs isn't the most reliable source for some items. I wasn't sure if I should use that as a citation or not, but I figured I would just to be safe. That statement I wrote: "In 1994, Document Records released digital remasters of these songs on the album Leadbelly: Complete Recorded Works 1939–1947 in Chronological Order, Volume 1: 1 April 1939 to 15 June 1940, catalog number DOCD-5226." Do you think I need to back that up with a citation? I'm not sure how to back up simple statements of facts like those. I'm new to Wikipedia editing, and I'm just leary that someone will go in and delete stuff that I've spent time researching and writing. Thanks! Hengeste (talk) 18:39, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Hengeste: Thanks for writing. I'm not one of those editors who feels that every single sentence has to be sourced. Also, you can simply source it to the actual album, if you have it, or have a picture of it from a reliable source. I think that often discogs has correct info, but because it's user-generated, there's always the possibility of error. I personally am always ok with sourcing stuff like this to the record label site (Document), but have had edits like that reverted because some editors feel that referencing a label page that has a "buy this" button is promotional. I've actually thought of bringing it up for discussion. Do you have the following link?

Junkfuel moved to draftspace[edit]
An article you recently created, Junkfuel, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
