John was very prompt in calling me back, and he really wanted to help us out and fit our wash machine repair into his schedule. He offered to come over the morning I called, and when it was apparent that I couldn't be home then, he asked if I would be comfortable if he came by while my husband and I were at work. Hubby and I conferred and agreed that so many positive reviews on Angie's List made him seem trustworthy. John arrived less than two hours later, called me with his assessment and was able to fix the machine quickly. He also mentioned that he could help us with kitchen appliance repair should we ever need it. I pointed out that the oven, which came with the house when we bought it a year earlier, seemed to run cooler than the oven dial said. His schedule didn't allow John to do a full oven assessment, but he told me exactly how to make some calibration changes to minimize the temperature fluctuation. I very much appreciated his willingness to help us on such short notice, and when he left, he was careful to secure the house behind him. I absolutely would use Mathew Appliance repair again!

John was great - he came the same day we called, and was very pleasant and professional the entire time. Our washer had become clogged, he showed us what was wrong, chatted with us about a few other plumbing issues while the washer was draining and he tested it to make sure it was fixed. I would definitely have him back if we should need any other work done on this appliance, or in our kitchen.

In addition to getting my washer running, he looked at my other appliances (we bought a house recently with appliances but the owners didn't leave any manuals) and gave me a rundown on of features, etc. He was well versed in several brands of appliances and explained his methods step by step. No surprises! Great service with a fair price from a knowledgeable and professional serviceman. Would highly recommend!

Turner Appliance
I have a 25-year old Maytag washing machine that was leaking water & was making a terribly loud noise during the rinse cycle. Steve from Turner Appliance came out & determined the clamp that goes around the drum had broken. He was able to repair it with parts he already had in the truck. He also cleaned out & ordered a new dryer vent for my 25-year old Maytag dryer while he was out (at my request). I did have to have him come out in May to re-adjust the clamp around the drum (it was making a lot of noise during the rinse cycle), but he had told me during his initial visit that adjusting the clamp was tricky & may need to be readjusted. I was very happy with his quick service & professionalism. The washer has been fine ever since.

Recent Review: Paid over $564 and still do not have a working wash machine. The company won't return my calls. The guy they sent smelled like alcohol and was a complete sxheister. I didn't want to pay for the repairs to begin with (better off buying a new machine) and he convinced me that this was "a guaranteed fix." He cashed the check before he even left our house (must have done it electronically). I'll be placing a complaint with BBB after this. Please note that Brownsburg repair is nothing more than an answering service that arranges service through any random repairman off the street. Had I realized this, I never would've called.

Recent Review: We called on a Thursday morning. They said the repair guy would be out at 5pm that day. At 5:40pm he called to say he was stuck in traffic and wasn't coming. We rescheduled him for the following Saturday from 10am-12pm. At 12pm I called to see if he was coming still. He called back at 12:15pm and said he had the flu and would be right over. I told him to not come sick. He was the only repair man with the company and said he would come Monday between 11am and 12pm. Monday at 12:15pm I called because no one had arrived and cancelled the request. At 12:30pm he called back wanting to know where I was located and tried to argue he had been sick on the weekend. This does not excuse not calling for two appointments and not showing up for any of them though.

Recent Review: I've called on Harry Carson's services twice now — once to replace my dryer's heating element (the dryer would run, just never heat up); and another to replace my washing machine's "lid safety switch" (the washer would fill and spin/drain, but wouldn't perform any wash cycles, on any setting... turns out it was the safety switch associated with it being able to tell that the lid was 'closed' and ok to run). I'm thoroughly satisfied with his honest, reliable, non-nonsense, professional service and fair pricing, and have already recommended him to others.
