EXCELLENT!! Super nice guy who was quick to respond to calls with questions etc. Went above and beyond to make sure everything was as it should be! As he ran into unanticipated issues he took care of them even though it wasn’t in our original plans or estimates simply because it was the right thing to do.

James Broderick was the Ricupero manager for a large project associated with landscaping, stamped concrete patios, and ground lighting associated with a new inground pool. James did everything from the design drawings to operating the heavy equipment on days when it was needed. He and the Ricupero crew could not have been more talented, responsive, and professional. I wouldn't consider hiring anyone but James and his team for any future work. All we can say is thanks for excellent execution of a complex project.

He was very nice and did an estimate with great landscaping ideas for removing the pool and re landscaping our property. I wish we could have used him but his price was more than we could afford to pay. I'm sure we would have been more than happy with the results if he had done the work and I wish we could have afforded him.

Last Summer, I called a few places to have my pool deck stained, as it was 2 years old and the pressure treated wood had turned considerably greyer than when the deck was new. Mike was referred to me by a co-worker of mine. He lives in the same area as I do. I asked Mike to come over and provide an estimate for my job. The initial estimate cost was $825 (which included power wash and 2 gallons of stain as well as Labor), and I figured that that was a great price at almost half the price of my next lowest estimate. I agreed to have Mike begin work on my deck. He started my job when he said he would, even though he had other jobs going on at the same time as mine. The first day, he power-washed half of my deck. I saw the difference in the wood immediately. He came back the following day to finish power washing the other half of the deck. We waited about a week, and Mike came back. This gave the wood the opportunity to "dry out" to the point where it would be able to accept stain for the first time. My wife and I picked Behr Natural Number 500 Deck Stain to use on our deck. Mike even went to Home Depot to buy 2 gallons, per the initial quote. Mike began getting to work. As the job progressed, it became clear that the first 2 gallons were not enough for the job. Mike had to make 3 more trips to Home Depot to pick up an additional 5 gallons of stain (7 in total). He applied 2 total coats of stain to the deck boards and railings and 1 thick coat on the spindles, rolling on and back brushing my entire deck... BY HAND. In total, the job took Mike about 40 hours worth of work by himself. If I am able to provide pictures with this review, I can prove his work is spectacular. After all of his additional work and extra special attention to detail, I decided to give him $1,050 for the work and $50 towards taking his wife out to dinner for working late on so many occasions... just to get my job done. I should have paid him more. I know I would not have received the same level of service or quality of workmanship anywhere else. If you have any painting or staining work, give Mike a call. You wont be sorry. I promise you.

We needed an 18' x 36' inground pool, surroundings pavers, and a fence removed from the back yard of our newly purchased home. We knew Cullen from his excellent landscaping work; he came right out to look at the pool and gave us a very reasonable estimate. I knew from researching this kind of project that it has to be done right, you can't just throw dirt in and forget about it. Cullen knew exactly how to handle the job; he explained the process to us step-by-step. This was not an easy project; Cullen had to get heavy equipment between our home and the neighbor's home, and it was a tight fit. The rainy weather made it even more challenging, but they started when they said they would, and completed the job in a very timely manner. Cullen was here personally, working on the project, and overseeing, from start to finish. We are very happy with the finished results. Our yard looks amazing. It is a huge relief to have the old, decrepit pool out of here. Cullen is a pleasure to do business with.

Spadafora Custom Concrete
5.0
My wife and I decided to install a new, in-ground swimming pool this spring. We wanted a colored, stamped concrete patio around the pool rather than plain regular or aggregate concrete. We have friends who hired Spadafora Custom Concrete to install a patio a few years ago. After seeing the work first-hand and after researching their website and Facebook page, we gave them a call. I received a return call from Harry Spadafora (owner) and we discussed the project. He came to our house a few days later, looked at the job, listened to our ideas, made recommendations, discussed his approach, and showed us pictures of previous work. He called us the next day with a price estimate and offered to meet us at another job he was working on so that we could see his work. We hired Harry and kept in touch with him while the pool was being installed. He helped us keep the pool installation on schedule by coordinating with the pool contractor and pouring concrete coping around the perimeter mid-way through the pool construction. Our project included an outdoor fireplace and patio that was constructed in an area that contained fill dirt from the pool excavation. Harry helped us design that part of the project in a way that ensures stability over the long term. This included construction of block foundation walls on top of a concrete footer. The concrete patio was poured over a web of rebar that was connected to the block walls. It was pretty neat watching them install the block walls and forms for the concrete. Their attention to detail was amazing - the forming, stamping, and finishing are literally flawless. The decorative cuts and expansion joints are laser straight and I have no idea how they got wood to bend like they did to create the smooth curves and turns. Harry and his crew were extremely friendly, hard-working, and professional. Harry and his right-hand man Jim were regularly onsite during the project. Harry routinely gave us updates on what to expect during all phases of the job and provided updates on the timeline (when it rained, etc). He was a constant source of advice and recommendations, which we very much appreciated since this was the first time we ever purchased concrete work. Harry's pricing was very fair and the end result looks better than we anticipated. Harry and his crew take great pride in their work and made sure we were completely satisfied. Harry even helped by referring a masonry contractor when we were having a hard time finding one (he also called to help us get on their busy schedule). I will definitely use Spadafora Custom Concrete in the future and give them my absolute highest recommendation for anyone seeking concrete work.
