I hired Doug McConnell to install vinyl flooring in my kitchen after another worker had ruined the job. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I was putting inexpensive sheet vinyl in an area where it was hard to install it in one piece. The previous guy (Ron Kilgore) put a lumpy seam in the middle of the floor, tore the vinyl, installed it so it wasn't level and left lots of shiny permanent glue on the floor. I bought more flooring and hired Doug to do it over. Doug's level of expertise was immediately apparent. He spent a long time looking at the floor and explaining what was done wrong and how it could be fixed. He quickly scoped out the house and figured out how he could get the vinyl into the kitchen in one piece (by rolling it up and inserting it through a small window!) For a very reasonable price he took up the old flooring and installed the new vinyl perfectly. He was kind, generous and so easy to work with. He's been installing flooring for about 30 years and really knows his work. He's usually busy, for good reason, so call in advance.

Javier and team were hired to remove existing flooring/carpet from the common areas and stairs and replace it all with vinyl plank flooring that I had already purchased. Additionally, they were able to address a stair landing that I wanted replaced with a single stair. The completed work is beautiful. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. I was pleasantly surprised how well the process went, especially while working from home and my kids attending classes online. Javier communicated with me throughout the entire process. The team arrived timely and always left the work areas clean at the end of the day. When we are ready to tackle the bedrooms, we will definitely be contacting Javier again.

HGO hardwood floors counters and paint
David was great! He was ready to go as soon as material arrived and installed 600 sq ft of luxury vinyl plank that I got online from a distributor. The install is good and clean around the various corners in my main floor, including around all the kitchen cabinetry and appliances, and the floor-to-ceiling windows. David also took care of painting two bedrooms with my chosen paint. He was super helpful and took care of disposal of all the shipping material too. I would definitely hire him again.

Wow! Awesome. From start to finish. To begin with, they have a really great showroom. They have a lot of samples of different brands, styles and types of flooring. Their staff is helpful and knowledgeable. I never felt pressured or given a line like, "The sale is only this weekend" or told they were going to throw in something at a discount because I was so cool or because they were so cool. You could tell that they took pride in their company and the reputation of their business. It also seemed like the employees at the office really enjoyed working together. After placing my order, there was a manufacturer delay in the delivery of my flooring. This delayed the install date by two days. They kept me up to date regarding this and called me when the flooring arrived. The gentleman who installed my floor was fantastic. My floor couldn't look any better. Real attention to detail. This was also evident in how he was teaching his son who was with him while he was installing my floor. In the four days at my house I don't recall his son ever actually installing a piece of my flooring. However, while at my house they talked extensively about how to install the flooring, how to address the installation issues that arose during installation and the why behind them. I also have to give props to his son. I was very impressed by his attitude, eagerness and willingness to learn. It is a long day to go back and forth to fetch tools while you watch someone else install floor. He seemed to ask very appropriate and knowledgeable questions. After completing the job there was only 1.5 boxes of material left. That is impressive. Many flooring companies will sell you more floor than you need which can significantly increase the price of the job. They did such a great job measuring in the beginning and didn't charge me for more floor than I needed that now I have the perfect amount of leftover material in case I damage a piece or I do some additional remodeling.

We have an upstairs bathroom with a complicated floor layout - a main sink area plus a tub/toilet room and a closet, with all sorts of edges and corners. We wanted it all to have one solid piece of vinyl without seams. We hired Joel to install it and he did a great job. We're hoping to replace some carpet in the near future, and we'll definitely contact him for that too.

He arrived as indicated and finished the job which I included removing the toilet, adding a new wax ring & reinstalling it. He was very meticulous in his measuring to be sure the fit was tight. Extremely Floored
They arrived on time, they did a beautiful job with the vinyl, it is level, looks nice. They did not re-install the baseboards or heating vents, we both forgot them. I picked out my own vinyl from a remnant and they coordinated that well in picking it up but they were still a little pricey for the overall area, I think it was a little foyer of 4' x 6', and a bathroom of 8' by 6 '.

I have used S and G for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. Their selection of instock vinyl and carpet is very good (I was in a hurry and didn't have time to order). You don't have to go looking for someone to help you; they have plenty of friendly staff. They were patient and helpful and even willing to come down a little on the price. Their installers were professional. S and G called to check on my completed work and followed up with a thank-you note. The dollar figure above for the work is not accurate because I paid the vinyl installers separately (they use independent contractors). The above figure is for the purchase of the vinyl and carpet and the carpet installation.

They came to my home with several samples then recommend to just cover old vinyl instead of removing the old one. They were able to remove just a small amount of the old damaged one and leveled the whole floor to the same height. They installed new baseboard.

Went back for carpeting to update the rest of the floors in my condo, as soon as I could move everything into the newly plank vinyl rooms. The carpet looks good, feels good on the feet, and was affordable. The job was remarkably fast.

We shopped around and found the flooring that we liked. The representative (very nice gentlemen) came out and measured the area and provided the estimate. The vinyl had to be ordered since none was available and Armstrong had to manufacture (in Georgia). This would take 30 days but we were willing to wait. There was no additional charge for this. Approximately 3 weeks after ordering, we were called and set an appointment. The installers arrived on time and within 4 to 5 hours, the work was completed beautifully.

We had a vinyl bathroom floor installed. The sales process was great. Very good service. We scheduled the first date to remove old flooring but no one showed up during the time promised. I called was told the team was running late. We rescheduled. Every thing went fine. The team was very professional. They were careful to not damage anything or leave any mess. A few weeks later we scheduled the installation of new flooring. When no one one showed up I called. They couldn't find the new flooring. Apparently no one ordered it! They agreed to install temporary flooring while they re-ordered.When the new floor came in, it was installed with no problems. Again the team was professional, did an excellent job. Easy to communicate with. Overall we were pleased with the result. "Things happen" sometimes. My biggest complaint was they should have called me first when they were late and when they didn't have the new flooring. The store should have communicated better. The installation team was excellent.

I had a great experience here at S and G Carpet in Pleasanton! My sales associate was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. She was very patient through my selection process, and even when I changed my mind after I was certain we nailed it the first time! The installers they sent out, Jason and James, were wonderful! On time, very polite, careful not to knick freshly painted walls and they obviously worked well together. They put in carpet as well as vinyl tiles in my office and in front of my back slider door. They did a great job. Zero complaints. I would use S and G again for sure and would ask for the installers specifically!

We visited the show room in San Mateo several times to compare and ultimately choose the product. Jerry was very helpful in his suggestions of type of flooring, pattern and suggestions for possible patterns.
