- i come across vandalism and other related edits quite frequently. it often involves having to restore a series of edits, and rollback would be a better way to do it. thanks. Soosim (talk) 07:19, 16 April 2013 (UTC)

- I have been under constant attack for months from Wikipedia:Long-term_abuse/JarlaxleArtemis, almost entirely as an AnonIP with no edit summary, and especially regarding removal of one term or category from dozens of articles where consensus on the relevant article is that it does not apply to those articles. I only would use it to deal with these obvious vandalisms since I prefer to carefully study diffs before changing anything. CarolMooreDC🗽 15:45, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

- I have been working with administrators, such as JamesBWatson and Excirial, to deal with vandalism for a few months now and have become well able to identify vandalism. I have even reverted vandalism undetected by other users, e.g. pages on fake medical conditions that were approved by other editors. I have come to the point now where going from page to page to undo each act of vandalism by a single user is becoming too inefficient and I would like permission to use Rollback to assist in fighting vandalism. Thank you for your time. Sosthenes12 (talk) 21:09, 17 April 2013 (UTC)Sosthenes12

- I upload files often, and from time to time I need renaming them for different reasons (mistakes, completing the names or changing irrelevant names [when I forget to name them]). It can be tedious to request the file moving and I think that my file uploads and work in Wikipedia, as well as in the Commons should be enough to justify to request the rights. - First, I'll note that you receive no benefit from being autopatrolled. Autopatrolled articles shouldn't have grammatical errors. Those patrolling them should (hopefully) fix the grammatical errors or tag them for the Guild of Copy Editors to fix. It might actually be a good idea for you to take your articles to Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests after you create them and ask for a little bit of cleanup. It's common for non-native English speakers to bring their articles there. Ryan Vesey 04:07, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
- Concurring with Ryan, the idea behind 'autopatrolled' is that the new pages should not need to be flagged for anything at all.Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 10:56, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
- u • t • c) 03:23, 17 April 2013 (UTC) Not done per above. Thank you so much for your contributions! I agree, however, that purely in the interest of grammar, it would be best to have a patroller scan over your articles, hopefully copyediting them (or at least tagging them for a copyedit) so that your creations can be made even better. ~ Amory (

- Temporary - will be running a local editathon event on the 27th of this month at our cities' central library. Request the flag for the sole purpose of creating accounts for interested walk on editors (there is no way there will be less than or equal to six interested walkons who can't be told to create an account ahead of time). I am already involved with the Account Creation interface as a very modestly skilled user. I believe I've righted the boat in terms of performance - and this permission can be yanked if I somehow act outside of the norms, even though I know what I am doing.
