Ryan Koren joined APEI as associate vice president, investor relations and corporate development in August 2021. He is responsible for overseeing APEI’s day-to-day investor relations operations while serving as the company’s primary spokesperson with institutional investors and analysts. Prior to joining APEI, Mr. Koren served as vice president of finance and corporate development at People 2.0, a global provider of employer-of-record services, where he helped successfully recapitalize the company to private equity firm TPG and was instrumental in executing their inorganic growth initiative.
Mr. Koren has over 14 years of corporate finance experience with responsibilities including investor relations, corporate development, financial planning and analysis, and credit ratings advisory. He began his career at Goldman Sachs where he spent nearly seven years focusing on strategic ratings advisory, debt financing, and credit risk management. Mr. Koren worked with clients to determine optimal capital structures for various financing, merger and acquisition, and other strategic transactions. In 2014, Mr. Koren joined Talen Energy where he held various corporate finance roles, including financial planning and analysis. As Talen’s head of investor relations, he oversaw significant strategic debt financing initiatives.
A graduate of Lehigh University, Mr. Koren holds a B.S. in Finance and Accounting.
