The APUS Center for Cyber Defense (CCD), organized under the School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, is a university-wide resource designed to foster cybersecurity awareness across the various disciplines. The mission of the CCD is to provide program guidance and oversight, cyber defense information, collaboration, research, and outreach opportunities for students, faculty, and other organizations.

The CCD supports the development of multi-disciplinary education, including science, engineering, space policy, and national and global security, and is involved in the shaping the cybersecurity education through contribution to curricula and faculty development.

The CCD also serves as a portal for cyber defense education to craft the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. These leaders will defend our nation’s citizens, industry, government, and academic institutions. Headed by a Director and an Associate Director, the CCD is supported by cybersecurity faculty members from across APUS. An industry advisory council (IAC) meets regularly and provides oversight and guidance. Learn more about CCD educational activities.
