Terrible platform for starting e-commerce business, this platform is for those who likes to play with design tools but there is no power behind it, wix apps weight a lot for websites and adaptation along with customer conversion is not good. I highly recommend choosing another alternative platform, this one is really bad, and it&#x27;s not safe either, we had a case with Wix when scammers attacked our website and we had dozens of fake transactions which we had to fulfill, there was no warning or fraud prevention, nothing just heaven for scammers. Wix Payments is also trash, they are a 3rd party provider whose bank does not care about sellers, they suspended our payment account due the single chargeback, which was actually marked as refunded on our end, but didn`t go through their system that is not working well with Wix dashboard, that was a mismanagement of their fancy Wix App which we used to issue the refund. but they didn`t care and just locked our payment account entirely. Lastly, when we were moving out the Wix to another platform, we were trying to get refunded on the pro-rata basis for the pre-paid Premium subscription that we have till 2023,, we filed for the refund but we were refused as well, their home office is in Tel Aviv, assumingly the billing department is there too, that`s very bad treatment not in American fassion and not according to the forms and laws of doing buisness in the United States. Terrible terrible company to work with, avoid Wix.

The site is currently glitchy and the ability to convert to editor x has been disabled. I have been paying for a site that i&#x27;m currently unable to develop and use. I&#x27;ve just auto-paid for another months subscription and now requested a refund. Wix agent is trying to say I can not have this money back?? How can this be? What happened to customer service standards? I am not an enemy of WIX, and have been using their services for years. Please do not turn me away and into an enemy.

I have been using Wix but I just realized that they turned on the auto renewal form that I had switched off. 
I was charged over €500 for a terrible customer service. I am asking them to give me a refund. Otherwise I will take this up with consumer protection groups and as many online review platforms as possible.
I normally wouldn&#x27;t do something like this but I am so angry about this situation, I will do my best to make sure that as many people as possible know about this. 
I just looked through my emails to find the domain name.... they sent me a bunch of emails because my card had been changed and they only ever mentioned the amount of €30... then they chrged me €500!! Very very deceptive company. If I don&#x27;t get a refund I will make it my business to write them a review for every euro they have charged me.

Going on the warpath with Wix

Like many users here I&#x27;m disgusted at the auto renewal plan. I was not notified of a renewal and had no intention of continuing my subscription and wanted to cancel. I will keep my fingers crossed Wix wish to improve their customer relations and will honour the refund.

I created a site last year and turned off auto renewal month In when I realised the site wasn’t making an impact to my business. I was charged £244 for the auto renewal. No one has gotten back to me from my request or message on Twitter. I need my refund this inconvenience is affecting my rent payment and I really don’t need the stress.

I had no idea that my domain would auto-renew after one year and charge me £20.72. I didn&#x27;t consent to the auto-renew and was not aware of it being in place, when I initially bought the domain. I requested a refund through the wix website and within 2 hours, they denied my request with no explanation or apology whatsoever. Just hiding behind their terms and conditions like cowards obsessed with profit rather than good business reputation. Utterly pathetic. I hope the £20.72 makes a huge difference to your quarterly review, you pathetic small men.

I just created an e-commerce site on WIX. In order to verify that payments can be processed WIX advises running a &#x27;test order&#x27;. This is noted as a test order not an actual order. 

I ran the test order for items for myself.

When you run that test order WIX charges the 3% commission on that test order. 

After contacting the Customer Service Team I was shocked to learn that there would be no refund given that it was an actual order when in fact it was not. Why would I want to order things that are already mine.

From the test order it can be clearly seen that I am conducting a test order by ordering items for myself.

NOTE: Do not run test orders as you will be charged interest on the test order and WIX will brand it as an actual order. This is WRONG in every aspect.

Missed notification of annual renewal and got auto-charged for premium plan. Contacted support same week after seeing the charge on my card and waited for two weeks. No response from them. After my review about my experience, Claire from Wix team contacted and helped resolved the issue to get me the refund. She was as good a support person as one can ask for and followed through to the end with attention to all details. Also provided feedback to her on how Wix needs to improve the cancellation process to get refunds so that other folks don&#x27;t have to go through these extra steps to get refund.

Support resolved auto renewal issue

As you can see from a lot of other reviews this web hosting company has a business practice to get as many automatic renewals as they can. I tried to cancel a two year automatic renewal right after it renewed for a web site that was no longer up &amp; running. Wix&#x27;s canned answer was no refund. Stay away from this service at all cost.... You have been warned!

No one should ever use wix they are a SCAM company and do not deal with refunds in time. Wix took my money and have not refunded me or even emailed me to respond. Horrendous experience, really buggy and after spending a long time working on my website, it doesn&#x27;t even come up when I type it in. No-one can view my website and I have had to make another site elsewhere. I requested a refund for the subscription and they denied it instantly. Why would I spend my money on a yearly subscription for the site to not even work? It&#x27;s a complete joke. I hate writing bad reviews but Wix truly deserves all the 1 stars I can see that other people have written.

I would honestly steer everyone away from Wix, they just have a good marketing campaign, the product is unusable and I have wasted a few months of my life trying to use their useless website builder. I would love my money back but it seems as if it&#x27;s not going to happen, I wish I read the reviews before investing my time and money into them. Really disappointed.

Horrendous experience

Wix have recently taken a payment for the following amount: £66.62 and £12.46 from my bank account (using my Debit card). I have previously chosen not to renew my subscription for a Premium Account, Domain Name and Mail Boxes as I can see clearly when I check my records. I only have the free account now in case I decide to use Wix services in the future or upgrade at some point. My mailbox has clearly expired. I have written to Wix to no avail and today they have taken yet another £86.40 for a Premium Plan that I don&#x27;t have. I am furious, this is not the service I expect. I don&#x27;t even have a business even related to my original Wix account. I would like some answers and a full refund!

I noticed two transactions of £36 appear on my bank and I am not with Wix.com so emailed to query and they stated I tried something over a yesr ago 😕 I don’t recall last week let alone last year but on looking it seems like I have tried something for free and they have suckered me in via some entrapment method.

I contacted support and I would describe the last representative as a lazy individual who has zero understanding of the meaning of customer service, no documentation provided as requested ahe had not even read the prior email and then still has the cheek to ask me to fill a form in to apply for a refund! The cheeky so an so will be wanting me to reply to her emails next.


Wix as a overall I never used as the platform lacks features of most the big hitters is overpriced for what it is and now I learn the customer service is none existent.

Dealing with Wix has been such a nightmare. I wouldn’t even give them 1 star but I had no other options. I’ve deleted my credit card on file and they were still charging my account! That has never happened with any businesses and they won’t even give me a refund for a recent charge. This is not right at all! I’ve connected with them last year to cancel my services and I still received a charge! I work with so many businesses and will not recommend them at all!!! Can not trust them! There’s also no customer support. Everything is through email. I’ve been charged twice and denied a refund.

the website builder is very slow. The customer service are not helpful and rude. They just want you to hire someone from their team for more money. The renewal subscription is very expensive and you can not cancelled it or got refund.

Here&#x27;s the thing. The website builder is fine. I didn&#x27;t use it on a large scale so I dont know the quality of the upper level features. But you know? My website worked. I only needed it for a year, so i did an annual purchase plan. A week before the renewal or so, i went into my account and &quot;turned off auto-renewal&quot;. That must not have been enough, or maybe my internet connection was bad. Either way, i was charged the whopping 200 dollar annual charge. Damn. Well, time to get a refund for the second year that hadn&#x27;t happened, right? I did eventually but let me tell you, it. was. not. an. easy. process.

As a developer, I&#x27;m sometimes lazy to build a website so I have used Wix for several years now for projects where I just wanna have it done with minimal effort. Everything worked well for me. I was running a blog and a portfolio website too.
There was a time where I accidentally left my yearly subscription and it was renewed without my intentions. At first, my refund was rejected (I guess it&#x27;s an automated process and I was a bit over the 14 days period) but after writing personally about my experience here, I was pleasantly surprised by how helpful the support team was. They understood the situation and refunded me. Wow! They care. I can only recommend them
