The National Mental Health Innovation Center envisions a world where people in every community have the knowledge, tools, and support to achieve good mental health, with ready access to effective treatment for mental illness when and where it’s needed.
We are here to change the conversation about how to address stubborn problems in the field of mental health and fuel user-driven development and adoption of technologies to improve mental health and mental health care.

NMHIC Announces The Avielle Initiative
It
is with great excitement that The Avielle Foundation announces the decision to transition
their work over to the National Mental Health Innovation Center. While the Foundation closed its doors in November 2020, their legacy
of building compassion and reducing violence will live on in projects at the newly-launched
Avielle Initiative, which will operate as a program within NMHIC.
The Avielle Initiative and Jeremy Richman Brain Health Internship and Fellowship Program
This program will help shape the careers of young scientists interested in increasing our understanding of brain health to inform the development of products and programs focused on building compassion and preventing violence.
