The Department of Applied Economics and Economic Policy is attached to the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences, created by Law 29/1979, that marked the beginning of the University of Alicante. The subjects taught in different study plans deal with concepts such as instrumental policies, analysis of public policies (regional, national and international), sectoral policies without neglecting the environment; It also explains the important concepts of economics for students enrolled in other colleges where it is convenient to have these notions.
The first quarter of this academic year 2021/2022 ends tomorrow. Although the last days have been of evaluation controls -for certain subjects- the C2 call for exams will begin on Tuesday, January 11 and will end seventeen days later.
On the other hand, yesterday the favorable report of the 2022 Budget Project was approved at the call of the Social Council, which represents an increase of 10.1% compared to last year.

Happy Holidays and prosperous 2022 to the entire university community
Although the 2021/22 academic year will begin next Monday, September 13, the official act will be held next Thursday at 12 noon in the Auditorium, located in the Faculty of Law. Attendance at the venue will be limited but can also be viewed by streaming (https://vertice.cpd.ua.es/251072). The Postmaster has sent an e-mail with more detailed information since attendance must be confirmed before the 13th.
The Inaugural Lecture - the most important milestone of this event - will be given by Dr. Salvador Llinares Ciscar, professor of Mathematics Didactics, who is part of the Faculty of Education.
Next Friday, September 10, an information session will be held for new students who have enrolled in any of the Degrees taught by the Center. It will begin at 10 in the morning with generic information and will continue at 12 with talks given by members of the dean team for each specific degree. The Vice Dean of Students and Employability, María del Carmen Tolosa Bailén, professor in this Department, will give the talk for those enrolled in Computer Engineering and Business Administration together with Jorge Calvo Zaragoza, coordinator of said Degree.
