    After several bids to put new siding on my house I decided to go with Mifflin Construction for several reasons. They are a family run business with 45 years experience in exterior projects and they not only worked with me within my budget but offered new gutters along with the siding and shutters that even one of their competitors said was a great deal. Their customer service from the owner Murray and all of his crew were professional, courteous and clean. I have never seen crews of five men work so hard, they were on the job 10+ hrs a day providing quality materials and workmanship and really went above and beyond in taking care of details that make my 110 year old house look like new and kept the work site clean. Several of my neighbors watched the work in progress and were not only amazed at the results and the excellent workmanship of the crew, they asked for referrals to contact Mifflin for work they or their families and friends want done. I was so impressed that I asked the owner to contact me next year to put on a new roof. To my surprise Murray was able to negotiate unbelievable zero percent financing for a year and completed the new roof with a crew of six men in one day. I wholeheartedly would hire again without hesitation and I highly recommend Mifflin Construction as the best you can get from start to finish for any exterior projects

    In order to give a proper review, you need to understand what we asked of Don Vith of Vith Contracting: 1) build a 1,240 sq/ft 2nd story addition on top of a 60 year-old ranch. The addition consisted of 1 Mast BR w/ Master Bath, 2 BR, an add'l full bathroom and a utility closet, 2) Dining room remodel, and 3) Sunroom addition. I can count on three fingers the number of times my wife and I agreed on something w/o days, weeks, months...and even years of debate. Those were getting married, having kids, and choosing Don to turn our house into our "forever" home. Here's why we chose Don: 1.) Safety and Convenience: Don's #1 concern throughout the project was the well-being of my family and his crew. Don's plan allowed for us to continue to live in the house during construction w/ minimal disruption or inconvenience (reread the first paragraph what we asked of Don to put this in perspective.) Two weeks after the project kicked off, COVID shut down the world. Months later when the shelter-in-place mandate was lifted, Don and his guys got back to work. Don followed CDC recommendations to reduce the risk of virus transmission throughout the entire 16 month project. Oh, plus we are clean freaks and not once did we have to bust out the vacuum because of the construction. I know that may be hard to believe, but Don would create air tight ceiling to floor 2x4 and poly walls w/o marking up your floor or ceiling. 2) Confidence and accountability: Don was onsite EVERY single day of the project. If something wasn't done to his own satisfaction, he had his crew re-do it no matter how small of a detail. To put it in perspective, one of my neighbors overheard Don instructing his crew to do something with such detail he told me "If I didn't know that was your house, you'd think it was Don's." 3) Ownership: One could mistake Don's straight-to-the-point, no b.s. approach to business intimidating. Well, if you prefer a contractor who will tell you what you want to hear, take little or no pride in his work, then Don is certainly not your guy. Don takes pride in his work. He has decades of exceptional quality work under his tool belt. Trust me. I did my homework. 4) Cost: A wise man once said "You get what you pay for." Don wasn't the cheapest, nor was he the most expensive. Like any project, we did incur some unexpected expenses, but Don managed our expectations from the start. Once you start tearing into existing structure, you'll come across a nasty surprise or two. 5) Time: I have no time to deal with b.s. Don shielded and protected us from the politics of obtaining permits and the ridiculous, absolutely unnecessary extra expense an ego tripping local code enforcer tried to pull. (There is no local, county or state code requiring the need to tear apart the ceiling of an existing structure to install wired smoke detectors. And the sun-bleached numbers on our curb-side mailbox have nothing to do with our addition. But the code enforcement officer TRIED but failed to hold up on signing off on our inspection because Don knows Code. Don also held every subcontractor to the same quality of work Vith Contracting provides. If they failed, Don escorted them off the property. He kept all the trades in line. I can't begin to express how much that meant to me, being the control freak that I am. One day I overheard Don tactfully scolding a subcontractor for sub-par work. "Would you do that kind of work at your own house?" The sub didn't respond. He got Don's point. I could go on and on about our no-less than positive experience with Vith Contracting. However, there are not enough hours in the day. Plus Don is coming by today to check up on things. Yeah he does that too.     DRS did a great job repairing my roof. They even provided pictures of the work afterwards. Also, they discovered that a previous contractor had not vented the exhaust fan properly and fixed that at no charge. I recommend DRS to my family and friends and they have been satisfied as well. They could improve on their responsiveness, but it has been quite a few years now so who knows what the management situation is at this point.     We had new siding, windows, and roofing done by New Look Home Exteriors. They did a fantastic job from start to finish!! Our initial consult with Jason was great. He was very thorough and professional. He explained the process logically and was very communicative throughout. Jake also communicated well with us through out and was very professional. They treated us like family. Their prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality of work you receive in return. There was additional water damage that was found while they were taking off the old siding, and they let us know about it and fixed it, rather than just covering it back up. Any problems/concerns that we had during the process were immediately taken care of with no hesitation. Very customer friendly. These guys do it right! They were a breath of fresh air since we had bad experiences prior with home improvement contractors. The crew was thorough and cleaned up after themselves. Overall, awesome experience!     We can't even begin to tell you how happy we are with the work that was done on our home. Our house went from being the "ugly duckling" of our street to the "beautiful swan" after Roman's crew was done with our home. Bill, Rob and Evan were the men who did our front porch, and it's what sets the look for the house. I could not have asked for three finer men who were a pleasure to get to know, and appreciate their workmanship. The guys would show up around 6:30am, and were ready to begin at 7am. They had the old porch torn off in a day, and over the next several days, an entirely new porch was framed and the most beautiful wood was used for the new flooring, along with white vinyl railings. They also put in my new front door and storm door to complete the project. For the siding, gutters, downspouts, soffit & fascia, I've not seen men work this hard and tirelessly in a long time. Fredericko and Jose would show up around 8am every day, and work until they had no daylight left to work in. The finished product looks incredible, and we are so grateful for the hard work the men put in to transforming our home. I've attached photos to the review so that you can see the amazing transformation of our home. I would highly recommend Roman and his team from Exceptional Exteriors for any remodeling needs you might have
