    Excuses. Couldn't do this. Couldn't do that. I needed a full service operation, and this firm would only do some things. Was also short of workers to respond in a timely way. So I didn't hire them after receiving a visit to plan the work.

    Well, apparently you can't post a photo here, so I'll tell you a nice story: Here's what happened: we planned for the first phase of our project this summer. Oasis, step 1 was rocking. We were so happy with it that we decided to do Oasis, step 2 this summer as well. Spoiler alert: it's absolutely brilliant. We're even happier than we were before. The award for best director, or landscape architect, goes to Tim Benz again, for listening to our North Shore waffling and our thoughts, then rolling out a really cool step 2, which is the first step of the "greens". Patience and fortitude should be Tim's middle names. Roberto, the foreman, and Jonny and Anselmo--remember them--rolled in and worked their butts off to put together some amazing greens around the patio and fireplace. It looks amazing! Do exactly what they tell you to do, and it'll all be great! Next we're on to step three, the decorative stuff. Poor Tim. He has no idea what he's in for, but he will do something amazing as he always does

    Raul was responsive in providing a quote and was able to do the work on a weekend within a week of when I accepted the quote. He and 2 other workers had the job finished within 3 hours. They cut out and removed the old grass, power tilled the soil, graded it, put down fertilizer, laid the sod and rolled it. The sod seems to be of high quality. The edges where the sod meets the sidewalk is not perfect, but I can take of that. I was concerned that the sod might be too high, but Raul assured me that it will sink down over time. We will see. Overall very professional and other neighbors have either hired him or asked about his services

    Rigo and Orlando were fantastic. They worked hard in blazing sun and temperatures in the 90's. One area was about 3' x 20'. Another was 5' x 20'. I'm not sure of the area of the third area because it is curved. That area was tough because there were very persistent "weed trees" that kept coming up no matter what I did. They dug them out by the roots. Other problems were stones that had "migrated" out from the house and the tree roots from the large tree that was taken down a few years ago. After all the areas were dug out, compost was added and tilled in. They had a little time left but instead of packing up they weeded my courtyard and another garden bed. Then they weeded and edged the garden around the mail box. They were both very easy to work with - communication was easy and they were very responsive to little changes I wanted to make

    Aiello Plumbing identified the problem immediately, the initial contractor who built the home did not have the cement floor of the steam shower (4' x 7') laid correctly with a slanted floor towards the drain and did not use a "good" liner between the tiles for both the floor and the lower part of the shower walls. The water and steam spout leaked into the dry wall and water was speading into the dry wall and ceiling below, due to the poor workmanship of my homebuilders' plumbing sub-contractor. WIsh they used MIke at Aiello Plumbing during the initial construction phase! Luckily I was reimbursed. I had two plumbing companies, along with Aiello Plumbing come out to assess the problem and Aiello Plumbing was the one I felt most confortable with.out of all three. The other two were like; "it might be this or that and I will have to start working on it to scope out the problem causing this and start work then give you an estimate. Mike (Aiello Plumbing) just poked a few holes into thee walls and did something with testing the pitch of the floor and quickly identified the work needed to fix it properly....been perfect since and I steam shower each and every morning and night. Will definitely use Aiello Plumbing again and recommend everyone in this greater Chicago area to check them out before going with just any plumbing company. MIke is a very trust worthy and a great guy who at no time made me feel like I was getting hosed!!! Got the job done and done effectively in a short amount of time. 2 to 3 days tops...came back to my house to follow up to ensure everything ws working properly the nest week. Now that is good service!!

    Our landscaping was in terrible shape after a year of no attention. The previous landscapers did not dig deep enough holes for the trees, so we had several dead trees as well as some that were on their last legs. Roger seemed to know his stuff; when providing the estimate he informed me that we only had 4 inches of topsoil and the rest was gravel and clay. He said that when planting trees they would dig deep holes and fill them in with topsoil so the roots would be healthy. Bingo! I gave the man the job. They got us on the schedule quickly and finished the job in two days. They cleaned up afterwards and left everything looking great

    Rick Ramoser was the landscape architect we first met to work on this project. I cannot say enough positive things about him. He completely understood what we needed, gave valuable suggestions, designed a plan based on our input and then oversaw the installation. It took about a week to complete all the work and they completely transformed our overgrown backyard into a calm, serene place to now spend time with birds, bees and butterflies . The installers were wonderful, worked hard each day and did a very professional job. Our neighbors enjoyed watching them and marveled at what they accomplished. A dry riverbed was incorporated into the design and it has worked extremely well with all the rain we've had lately.....no more lakes in our backyard!     We were referred to R & G Almanza Landscaping by our tree service. After a less-than-pleasant experience with another local fencing contractor (who did a terrible job repairing a shared fence that had blown down in spring windstorms), working with R&G was a fantastic experience. Although R & G is more well known locally for their yard maintenance work, the high-quality job they did installing my fence was exceptional. Their price was very reasonable, they were clean, fast, responsive and cared about the details. They even went above and beyond what I expected and really weeded and cleaned up the ground surrounding the fence. I plan on using them again next season for more landscaping work and even am considering them for weekly yard maintenance because of this experience. I highly recommend

    A few months ago our family moved to a house that had not been updated since the early 70's. This included the landscaping. I hired His Workmanship to remove landscaping rock and some dead bushes that were impossible to remove myself since the rock had sunk into the soil. They also hauled all the landscaping rock away. It was a huge project, and they completed it in two 6 hour days. What I really appreciated about His Workmanship was their responsiveness. I got an email back within 12 hours of my initial inquiry, and someone promptly responded to every email. This really cannot be underestimated, since I have dealt with may unresponsive contractors. For a project like this, His Workmanship was an affordable alternative to a traditional landscaping company
