We recently finished a room addition and a partial remodeling of our house. We hired Everlast Construction to do the work. Gideon, the contractor, gave us may be not the best price, but the best quality. He worked alongside of his crew and supervised each step during the construction process. Even after the main construction was complete, Ariel went above and beyond to make sure everything was completed properly. The doors on one of the new closets, for example, were custom ordered and didn't arrive until months after the main construction was finished. Once the doors arrived, we called Gideon, and he came in and installed them himself and even helped patch and paint some drywall in another part of our house. But the end result was awesome, it worth the wait! We recommend Gideon for any construction job.

About a 6 months ago we started to remodel our kitchen with a construction company that at the end, they left the work in the middle and it was no less than a horror story! So we ended up with worthless unfinished kitchen and with defiantly zero trust in those companies that care only about the money. We didn’t have any additional choice but to look for another company that can come over and redo the entire kitchen and to make sure that we will not have the same problems as we had with the other one. We met with lots of companies and at the end, we decided and after many meetings and researching, we hired Luxcess Home by SOD Builders for our project. One of our previous neighbors told us about Luxcess Home by SOD Builders great things so we decided to give it a chance. It has been 5 weeks now after they completed our kitchen and about a week ago, they called us to ask how we are doing and to check and see if we have any problems with the final kitchen. Their follow up phone call was the main reason why we decided to write this review for them. This showed a clear picture the all they care is the satisfaction of their clients and not the money that they can make. For us having a construction company that really cares is priceless and that’s what really matters. Our new kitchen is gorgeous and we love it very much!!! Thank you for everything!

Major League was an excellent contractor to deal with. We discussed the work to be done. They gave me a thorough estimate and executed the work in a timely and professional manor. They were very thoughtful and had great ideas. Pricing was fair and more importantly they stuck to what they proposed. I appreciated their honestly and integrity. Andy Hahn ,the owner of Hahn Construction, has the highest integrity and authenticity of any residential general contractor. Andy is thoughtful, fair and well organized. Andy developed the estimate, clarified what was in scope and out of scope (we bought the flooring and light fixtures). He recommended and managed the custom cabinet maker. The project went very smooth and Andy's crew was respectful and cleaned up every day before they wrapped up. We are very pleased with the project and highly recommend Hahn Construction.

New plumbing, electrical, new finish for kitchen cabinets, countertops, couple of walls removed, new walls constructed. New appliances installed, Sheetrock repair and paint. Contractor pulled permits himself and took care of the order of the work. All done pretty fast and smooth with great results, thank you guys for the experience :)

I had the best experience with this company. Ari was my main contact and was able to accommodate me with all of my needs and his team did an excellent job with my kitchen, bathrooms and flooring. Many people said it would be hard to find good reliable contractors and I was lucky enough to have found these guys. Our experience with Flux Construction was completely different, they did a wonderful job for us remodeling our kitchen and installing new recessed lights throughout the house, we never once worried about them not showing up when they said they would, they were very punctual and meticulous about the work they did on our beautiful home. He answered all of my questions and concerns, and I always felt like I was in good hands. Everlast Construction are definitely the best general contractor we had the pleasure to work with!

I was very pleased with the service received from Mulhall Construction. They operate with complete transperancy and kept me abreast of any obstacles they we encountered. I have worked with numerous contractors in my lifetime I find Mulhall construction to be the best. I highly recommend their services to anyone who needs the use of a general contractor.

Worst contractor experience of my life! We entered into contract in Jan. '07 and finished Feb 2008! Original estimated time to complete was 6-8 weeks. It dragged out over one year and we were blamed for the delays! We lived in the construction dust and garbage, garage and bedroom filled with materials, and burglarized. The owner, Vernon, was abusive and cruel bullying with his knowledge as an attorney. We were mocked, yelled at, threatened with litigation & mechanics liens, he attempted to extort more payment for items included in the contract. He set arbitrary allowances on items months after contract. He constantly bemoaned the fact that he underbid the project and went as far as stating that I had tricked him because I worked for an insurance company 17 years ago and had more knowledge of construction costs. He threatened to abandon the project. Mistakes were made in construction and we were constantly in the role of general contractor problem solving errors.

Actually I didn't meet them but my husband did. One thing I know is that they don't actually carry general liability insurance which turned us off. It was a very rough estimate. I think the contractor was very personable in what he was doing and what not. That was the only thing that was an obstacle for us.

We are remodeling our house and doing bathroom addition which is a very hard city to remodel in. My husband and I both work and we have four children. We initially tried to work with another architect and had a very difficult time and I really felt lost and overwhelmed. We spent unnecessary money because the architect was not familiar with what was involved in the process and was hands off. I was spending tons of time at the city discussing things I didn't really understand. In the process of looking for a contractor we met Ari from Everlast Construction. Before even meeting with us he had completely reworked the design and improved on it exponentially. He suggested doing two stories instead of one which would save our outdoor space. He came prepared with plans and estimates far beyond any of the nine other contractors we had met with. We were so impressed we decided to change from our architect to Everlast construction. Man have we been happy!!! Ari have somehow found a way to plan our dream home within our budget. Everlast Construction has been wonderful and our stress level is much lower. The bathroom addition came out to be perfect we are very happy.

The guys at M&M Construction are very experienced. no doubt about that. we had more than a few quotes coming in and were looking into many other companies till we met with Eli, the owner of M&M Construction. he had so many ideas for design, was very helpful with creating exactly the kitchen we were interested with. most contractors were just too stuck up on the way they do it instead of the way we want it. Incredible! We love the results! Our house looks amazing! We couldn't be happier with our newly remodeled house. We bought the place a couple of years ago and really struggled to find a good contractor to carry out such a massive remodel. We found Evolve Construction through a good friend that also used this company and was very pleased with them. After a lot of research, we feel that we finally found the right contractor and we can't complain about the price either - it was more thn fair to our opinion. We worked alongside Dan as the interior designers for a commercial tenant improvement in Cupertino. Good contractors are very hard to come by so we were very lucky to have found Morgan Construction. Dan was extremely professional, reliable and responsive in working with us and the client throughout the project. As designers, we know that every project will have "issues". It is the way that these issues were dealt with and resolved that really impressed us. The project was completed on time and the quality of work was great. The final space looks fantastic! We definitely recommend Morgan Construction and hope to work with them again in the future!

I have nothing but great things to say about Danny Wong and his company, Yiu Wong Construction. The work was substantial but expertly done, and at a great value. Most importantly, the customer service was outstanding -- Danny responded promptly to many, many questions by phone, email and text message. He frequently made special trips around the city to pick up the materials that we needed. I'm a first time home-owner and so was a bit nervous about working with a contractor. After this experience, honestly, I won't work with anyone but Yiu Wong Construction as long as I live here.

I've worked with many contractors over the years and JJB is the best I've worked with for residential remodeling. That's no small statement. JJB is responsive, communicative, on-time and on-schedule, does not cut corners, always willing to tackle new issues or problems that arise during construction, respectful of neighbors / other tenants, and very fairly priced for the quality of work that they provide. We even had some city permitting issues from prior construction that JJB was able to take on and get cleared up. I can't express how much headache this saved me! On top of being great contractors, Joe and Jeff and their team are also just great people - very personable, easy to communicate with, and a pleasure to be around. They really desire to make their customers happy and to do good work. You won't find any cheap shortcuts or shoddy work with this team. When the time comes for another construction job in the area, they will be my first call. I really can't give much of a higher recommendation than that!

We came to work with John Dufficy after reading some of his previous Angie s List reviews. Our project was still taking shape, and though we had initially planned to work with a contractor given the amount of work we had in mind, cost considerations led us to split the project out ourselves and bring in trades for the different parts of work. John served as our primary carpenter, and in that capacity he did a great job with the initial work of putting up dividing walls in our master bedroom one to create a foyer from a street entrance, the other to partition the space for closets we were designing. We were so satisfied with John s responsiveness, quality of work and value that we decided to retain him for several additional projects, including the construction and installation of the closet hardware, design, construction and installation of closet doors, build-out of second floor fireplace mantel, and assorted odds and ends. Throughout the project planning and work phases, John was not only patient with us as customers, but also provided great assistance and suggestions and we worked with our decorator in creating our vision for our space. Many of the suggestions that John made went into our final design, and the quality of his craftsmanship is quite apparent in the results (see accompanying pictures). John was great about providing thorough quotes, keeping the different parts of the project in budget, and working closely and responsively with clients that maintain heavy travel schedules. John made himself available to see through the city inspection process, which we successfully passed as a result of his attention to detail. Where cost overruns and delays are the norm, John completed everything in a timely fashion with minimal additional cost above that quoted. We are thoroughly pleased with the results. As our budget allows us to make additional planned improvements, we will certainly be calling on John s services in the future, and strongly encourage others with planned carpentry, millwork or other decorative woodworking needs to avail themselves of this conscientious and professional tradesman.
