Gideon was responsive and easy to communicate with, and the team did amazing work on site. They tore down walls installed new cabinets, lighting, rewired electricity, fireplace, opened up the wall to allow space for an addition, a bigger window to add more sunlight and more. DESIGNING A HOME CAN BE TRAUMATIC AND THIS WAS THE CASE. THE ARCHITECT DID A GOOD JOB, AND A TIMELY JOB, BUT IN THE END COST MUCH MORE MONEY THAN I ANTICIPATED. THE HOUSE IS SPECTACULAR. TYPICALLY ARCHITECTS COST AROUND 10% FOR SERVICES ALL THE WAY THROUGH CONSTRUCTION AND FINISH SELECTIONS. I STOPPED USING THE ARCHITECT WHEN BUILDING DEPARTMENT APPROVAL WAS OBTAINED BECAUSE OF THE COST INVOLVED.

While polite, architect was and quot;aggressiveand quot; and resistant to our more deliberate approach. We also had an unexpected health-related delay, which resulted in architect terminating agreement, despite our explanation. As a result, we paid for those services rendered, although not near complete. We would not use this architect's services in the future.

They were very good. My wife liked their design style. They offered us cost cutting design solutions, that we ignored. My wife wanted the kitchen and the dinning rooms reversed. They suggested we not do that, because we could save a lot of money. My wife had some issues with paint colors. The contractor recommended someone to come in to consult. The architect was a little miffed because that was their job. They were low key, and did what we wanted to do. The architect wasn't high strung, and they were able to work with the contractor.

"I am currently having my entire house remodeled and build 2nd floor addition: kitchen, living room, dinning room, back porch, bathroom, all the wiring in the house and the panel box are being upgraded and replaced, foundation needed reinforcement. New bathroom addition design & built, the owner Ari showed me all the confidence I needed to see to turn this project over to him. Amazingly, even though this project is still a work in progress as I write this review, I have had very little questions as Ari has made it a point to explain everything to me. Because of Ari I know what the construction guys are working on, how they are working on it and why they are doing what they are doing. Ari arranged for the architect to design the plans, oversaw the blueprints getting approved by the city and got all the building permits needed. There has been just a ton of building inspectors coming to my house and they have signed off at each stage of construction.
<br /> The construction crew has been a joy to be with. They are funny, playful, respectful and man o man do they hustle. I have dropped in to see them in the morning and later in the afternoon I am just in awe over how much work they have accomplished. They are highly professional and I can see that they take a lot of pride in their work. I cannot ask for more. Everlast is a good company, project manage Ari is professional and intelligent and yet one of the friendliest guys you will meet, and I cannot speak high enough about the construction crew. Would I recommend these guys? Absolutely.

"We had an exceptional positive experience working with them. Mike Amini, architect, suggested several changes in the main floor that really opened up the house and pointed out the beautiful view we have out the rear of the house. Matt Amini, stuctural engineer, was the Project Manager. He is very much a perfectionist and all of his suggestions were excellent giving us an expert cost vs. benefit opinion based on his experience. They started the house in December, 2009 and finished it in August, 2010. Since they had to almost completely rebuilt the house, we thought that was really fast. They worked continuously and were not always running off to other jobs. Matt responded immediately to any request we had.
We also found that all of the subcontractors he hired on the job were incredible craftsmens with close attention to detail. We also worked with a designer on the job which I know can be difficult interacting with contractors, but they worked together to give us the very best end result.
This is a family business where they all work cohesively together. No one is pointing fingers at each other if and when mistakes are made - a big advantage of their vertical integration.
Obviously, losing our house and everything in it was quite devastating to us (we are in our 60's), but working with the Craftsmen's Guild and their vision for our house really brought us out of our emotional lows. Seeing the vision they had for the house and watching it unfold was really exciting for us! The finished house is really incredible. This would not have happened were it not for the Craftsmens Guild.
We are currently landscaping the house and using Matt's cousin, Parviz Emani, from Modern Construction Design, who is also doing a fabulous job!
I read one of the other reviews here that was negative and, quite frankly, we experienced NONE of the problems they seemed to have had with the Craftsmens Guild and we worked with them for about 10 months! Even now - after we have given the Craftsmen's Guild our final payment, we are still adding some additional features. We call Matt and he responds immediately to our requests!"

"Jill and I spoke on the phone about the different services she offered and how we might structure our first meeting. We decided on a basic consultation that could extend out to the "Angie's List Special" that she had at the time if she felt should could get a good understanding on our thoughts and find some synergy with our house and the space we wanted to discuss. We felt that it was a good fit fairly quickly, liked her personality, energy and ideas. She was very clear in explaining the process that we would follow if we moved forward with a full design all the way through construction.
