They did what they said they're going to do, they clean up, and the workmanship was very good. Pleasure doing business with them and they are responsible people.

The owner of the company is working really hard. He tried his best to help me figure out the problem and he did a hands-on inspection of the job that needs to be done.

Mapa was on time, with a fair price and did wonderful work for us! Would hire again!

Maps and his crew were great. Very friendly. They did a great job, on-time and budget.

Not really happy with the work. They added rebar to driveway but it wasn't raised in concrete. Also retaining wall was built with cinderblocks and there is places where no concrete added. They left mess and I had clean up and take to dump.

Mateo is very pleasant to work with and did a nice job. He is honorable and trustworthy.

The work was completed and I was happy with the work and the job was satisfactory.

Overall finished product was good. Altho, it took a little longer to finish than I anticipated

Everything was completed as desired, and with relatively little disruption of our home and street.

The project went exactly as we wanted. The old concrete walkway (45' approx) was removed and the new one was framed and poured the same day. I'm very happy with the results. And the price seemed quite fair for the amount of labor, material, and expertise it took to get the job done so quickly. I would definitely hire AMP 59 again.

Very good! Mapa and his hard working Hawaiian crew whizzed through this project in great time and the finished project looks great. I would use him again.

It went very well. Mapa and his team were here promptly and did an excellent job of taking out the broken blocks along with a grape plant, putting in new rebar to join the 2 walls and provide stability, building a wooden frame and then pouring the new concrete to encase some parts of the old wall that were still stable. They also filled an area with screening and smaller rocks to allow for extra drainage. Clean-up was very good.

We had a bit of a unique circumstance where the majority of the deck was built on top of an old pavement patio. The deck extends out into the lawn held up by poles a a foot deep. In on corner of the deck (where we wanted to lay pavement, the patio was still exposed. Mapa showed up the day he called in the evening, evaluated the project, gave us the price. He said he had an opening the next day. Mapa Showed up at 10am the next day, pulled out the existing concrete patio and laid the concrete around the deck support poles. They worked until about 5pm. He came back the next day and pressure washed the deck and cleaned up the new pavement. All in all was great.

Mapa greatly cares about getting the job done right and will ensure that you are satisfied customer which is wonderful. We had good work done by his crew and although there were small things that needed to be taken care of later, Mapa got it done. Mapa and his crew great really busy during the summer so my recommendation is to try to schedule them sooner versus later.

Overall I'm happy with the foundation. Mapa and his crew showed up and built the thing with a minimum of fuss. We passed our foundation inspection easily. I would definitely hire AMP59 again for things like slabs, driveways and patios.

Mapa and his crew did a good job preparing the site and building the forms for the slab. He ended up having to adjust the price higher due to site conditions (poor drainage and slope), but in the end I think the expense was worth it -- most of the extra cost went into pouring a thicker slab than originally estimated, and using a pump trunk to get the concrete to the site. The slab looks good and he sunk in anchor bolts for me, as well as putting in a vapor barrier under the concrete to address moisture issues. Originally it was difficult trying to get him to come out to do the work, he would promise to come on a day but then wouldn't show up. However later on in the job he was very punctual and got things done quickly once we got the ball rolling. Either way he would return all my calls and explain everything to me.

Everything went smoothly with only a minor delay due to freezing weather. I got the city permit which probably saved some money.

Mapa showed up on time and gave a great price. Did what I asked him to do and quality work. After the job was complete he came back cleaned up the work area. I would definitely hire him again and can't wait for my next concrete project.

Communication was difficult - never sure about when they'd arrive or finished the job.

Mapa, the project manager, and his crew did the job over the course of two weeks, as expected. The job was completed during the winter months and there was snow between the days the crew started the removal and the pour back of the concrete. They matched the existing sidewalk very well and took care of a couple of small crack/lifts by grinding them down so the we didn't not have to replace the entire sidewalk all at once. The price was the best bid we received. The only concern, in our opinion, was that the crew did not place sufficient warnings (other than two orange cones at one location) or barricades to prevent people from walking into the project. As homeowners, we did put up additional warnings and blocked the sidewalk with garbage cans until the work was complete. The crew was nice, did a great clean up and got it done so I would (will) hire again when I need to complete my next sidewalk project.

The new driveway really added more than we expected to an older home's street appeal.

Overall, I would hire them again. Mapa is a very nice guy. He showed up when he said he would and I am happy with the job overall. I would have appreciated greater care to protect adjacent surfaces and a little more attention to clean up. But the price was good and worth my additional time to clean up after they were done.

The old driveway had cracked and settled over the years and had several large puddles of standing water. The replacement started the first week of August. The job started out simple enough, but upon pouring concrete, it didn’t take long to notice that the new driveway puddled in many places. Over the next week or two, Mapa had attempted to level the low-points with some sort of thin-set filler left the driveway looking like it had been patchworked together. Far less than acceptable – and still didn’t resolve issues of water gathering where it shouldn’t be. (See photos for this progress) So, in the third week of August, it was decided that he’d tear apart his previous work and attempt it again. Mapa's communication and follow through were quite poor. Over the three-month period, there were dozen times or more, Mapa indicated he would be arriving to work on the driveway, but was habitually late or never bothered showing up at all with no phone call. Communication over the three-month ordeal was seldom initiated by Mapa. Instead, it became my responsibility to call him for updates to learn how his schedule would (or would not) include progress on my driveway. Eventually, After Labor Day, Mapa and his crew returned with rented machinery to take out the driveway. That didn’t exactly go as planned as tools broke and one thing after another caused continued delays. They managed to do sufficient damage to the street as well as crack the sidewalk leading to the front door. Nothing was done during the last half of September. We had to park on the street for two months. There were weeks of bare dirt. Finally, in the 2nd week of October, a second pour was happening. Next up – sealing the driveway. The sealant that he used only covered 90% of the drive with a minimal coat. It didn’t take long for autumn leaves to fall and quickly discolor the new concrete. Mapa agreed that another sealant was needed, but as summer sun transitioned to fall rains, scheduling this again proved challenging. The final straw was Mapa’s failed attempt to pressure wash the driveway and remove the stains from foliage. The stains remained… and still do. That proved to be more than I could take. I’ve asked Mapa not to return. It just seemed that his craftmanship was as poor as his communication. We agreed on a reduction in the final payment. And I’ll just finish the remaining work on my own. I would not recommend Mapa for any work that you need to have completed.
