The technician was professional and performed the service well. He was here for 30 minutes. The repair did not involve any parts and was completed within that time frame. I paid $29 through Angie's list for a discounted 'service diagnosis' and was charged an additional $90 for the repair. I wasn't sure if the technician knew I'd already paid through Angie's list, so I followed up with the office. After two attempts, I received a response that they did know I'd paid for the diagnostic. I was never able to clarify what the charge would have been if they had simply showed up and done the repair in 30 minutes. I would use the vendor again after clarifying what their actual hourly rate and minimum is.

The tech arrived on time and was extremely professional and helpful. He resolved the problem by simply changing out the filter and installing a new one he made up with parts that were in his work van. He then explained the maintainence services Moore Mechanical provides at $180 per year. It was such a bargain I purchased two contracts for two homes. The tech covered his work boots whenever he walked in the house. He climbed his ladder and checked out the duct system in the attic. He also located wiring that was in place for the option of installing a second zone upstairs with a thermostat. I found the services totally satisfying and I would recommend Moore Mechanical Heating and Air Conditioning to everyone!

Overall, the technician was thorough and professional. I particularly appreciate that they called us when the technician was 15 minutes from arrival.

The only down grade I would give this service is that I was told it would take two technicians 3-4 hours working together to completely clean out both units. Given that, I thought the price was probably reasonable. As it turned out, only one technician showed up (the other one was "unavailable," and he finished both units in about 4 hours. Given that, I thought the price was a little steep at nearly $400/ unit. However, the original technician did roll his investigation/filter cleaning costs into the secondary cleaning cost, so I probably came out even. I would use this service again.

I called this morning and got scheduled just 1 hour after the call. Surprisingly fast. The technician showed up on time, and he was very friendly and professional. He checked our furnace and found out that the motor stopped working. Further inspection showed that the motor is the type that needs to be oiled but it was never oiled in the past several years. I had no idea about it because I just bought this house, so he taught me some basic knowledge about furnaces. He suggested that we could replace the motor, which would cost $650, or we could get a new furnace which would cost around $3000. I asked if he could get the motor temporarily work again so we can at least wait until the new furnace gets installed, so he tried to clean the motor and add some oil in there. As he put the motor back, it started work again! The noise was still there but much lower. Then I asked him to give us a quote for the new furnace, he kindly suggested different options, and told me about the differences between them. Then, he spent a lot of time measuring around the furnace and vent pipes. His final quote was for a Bryant 66000 BTU furnace, and said if I get the installation service from AAA he'll deduct the service charge for today from the total price. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience with AAA. I paid $120 in service charge and $20 in tips.

Technician was scheduled to do service check on air conditioner. During inspection of air conditioner, technician noticed something in the heating part of the unit that didn't look good to him. He took the time to also inspect the heating unit and has made a second appt. to do a complete inspection of the heater.

A technician came to my house as scheduled to look at my furnace and thermostat. He said he did not have experience with my furnace model because he said he was in diapers when the model was manufactured. The furnace was installed 13 years ago and the technician was most certainly much older than my furnace! He was not familiar with my thermostat either and said he would contact another technician the next day to determine next steps and would call me back. Two weeks have passed and I have not heard from him or anyone else from Bay Heating. I left a message yesterday and still no phone call.
