HOLE IN THE WALL
5.0
The contractor arrived promptly. The two man crew worked efficiently, cleanly and professionally to repair damaged drywall in the living, hallway, utility closet (furnace & water heater room) and two bedrooms. The living room repair involved the resealing / caulking of large holes, and flaking drywall over the doorways to the bedrooms. Contractor used drop clothes for everything and finished all work in under 2.5 hours. Nice people.

FULLER HANDYMAN SERVICE

Mr. Fuller was able to come out the same week I called to give me an estimate on the repairs. He came out the next week to do the repairs. He was on time, very polite, and did a great job on the repairs. It was he who noticed the faucets in the laundry room were very corroded, and since he replaced them, my washer has been working better. He even gave me a significant discount on his original estimate at the end of the job.

Built Right Construction & Design

I originally hired Carlos to install some new vanity tops and sinks and to repair and paint my deck. I was preparing my house for sale. After discussing with my agent the list of things to do grew substantially. Carlos stepped up and ended up taking on all the work. He (and his crew) removed popcorn ceiling, painted walls, ceilings, stair bannisters, cabinet doors, front door, steps and he installed a new vanity, tiled, fixed plumbing issues, fixed electrical issue with switches, repaired and installed blinds. Caulked and sealed and even removed a dead rodent in the crawl space! He did all this in a VERY tight timeline as I needed to get the house on the market. He worked long hours and when little stuff cropped up her came back to fix or change. He is polite, responsive and professional. He kept me informed of what he found and any needed changes and provide receipts for supplies quickly. I gave him a key and I was very comfortable with him working when I was at work. All in all a very good experience and I will use him again.

Lady who made the appointment was friendly, helpful. The guys showed up on time (called to say they'd be a little late, but arrived during the stated window). They did a good job and were genuinely nice to deal with.

Call My Guy!
5.0
When we first contacted Call My Guy, we had a long list of home repair items to address, but we were also looking for someone we could trust and count on down the road for help taking care of our home. Stephan and the Call My Guy team delivered on both counts. They marched right through our repair list, with good suggestions and ideas along the way., and have continued to work with us on more projects. They are honest, responsive, professional, and their work is always first rate. They listen, are diligent, and pay attention to the details, especially when it comes to clean up. We think of the Call My Guy team as our home repair and renovation problem-solvers; they help us fix what needs fixing and contribute creative ideas for making our home a great place to live.

Lee was great. He replied immediately and arranged to come within a couple of days. When he arrived he gave us a very reasonable bid which we accepted. Then he fixed the huge gaping hole in our kitchen ceiling immediately. The results are beautiful. You can't tell the ceiling was patched at all. He also fixed a crack in the sofit edge. He was very clean and neat, very professional. We couldn't be happier. We highly recommend Lee for any drywall work.

Richard did a fantastic job! I was worried that the repairs would still leave obvious signs, but I can't tell the repairs were done! He told me he would make sure I was happy with the results, and he made sure I was. He was punctual and professional. Would definitely hire again/ recommend!

RG Handyman Service

Robert responded promptly to my email query, same day as promised. He asked for photos of the tasks to be done, clarified details of the work in advance, and scheduled a time. He came punctually on the scheduled time, prepared with replacement parts on hand and completed all the repairs (except the sheet rock which has to dry before it can be painted). His communication is clear and courteous, and the workmanship excellent. I'm happy that the broken things at home are fixed and working again.

Cliffhanger Home Repairs
5.0
Cliff arrived promptly on time, ready to work, with all the necessary tools to get everything done. After a short discussion to confirm the issues we needed addressed, Cliff got right to work. Cliff was easy going, easy to talk to and was very professional. He was able to complete 2 out of 4 jobs for which we engaged his services for. The 1st. job was troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing a nagging water leak inside the wall which kept us from using our upstairs hall bathroom. Cliff was able to locate the area of the leak, and narrow down and pinpoint it's exact location. He was able to perform the necessary repair without cutting into the walls! I was more than thrilled to confirm the water leak was in fact fixed! The 2nd. job was troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing an existing attic fan which was no longer working. Cliff was able to determine the attic fan was fine, but wasn't turning on because of a bad thermostat. Cliff replaced the bad thermostat, and rewired everything to relocate the thermostat to a more central area of the attic. The attic fan now kicks on when needed. After having very clear productivity and success with Cliff's services, I asked Cliff if he could come the next day for jobs #3 and #4. Luckily he had originally blocked out two days in his schedule for all our needs. Cliff was able to carry all the heavy materials upstairs to stage and prepare for job #3 the next day. I will write up another review for those jobs.

S.C. Home Repair
5.0
I highly recommend Josh Matus from SC Home Repair. We needed to have a ceiling replaced in a closet after it was damaged by water. The plumber who originally fixed the leak cut out the ceiling to fix the leak, but was not able to reinstall it. We hired Josh to replace the ceiling. He did an excellent job. He was punctual and polite, and kept me looped in on the entire project. He got my sign-off on all of his decisions and ran pricing by me when he needed to buy supplies. He knew exactly what he was doing. Josh finished the job quickly in two days and did excellent work while paying attention to detail. I would certainly hire him again!

Kenney Construction
5.0
Kenney Construction did a great job in every way. They were thorough, quick, careful, clean, and very nice to work with. We hired them for drywall repair and painting in our living room and dining room, where we had some very large cracks. They did a great job fixing the walls, which included the installation of plywood between the studs for more stability, then new drywall and texturing, and painting. They also moved our furniture back into position as it was before they started the drywall repairs, remounted the window blinds, and paid attention to detail throughout. Midway through the project we asked if they could also remove a dilapidated wooden trellis from our back patio, and they managed to fit it in right after they finished the drywall repair work. I highly recommend Kenney Construction.

BAY AREA WALL AND CEILING
5.0
I will call Bay Area Wall and Ceiling again when I need wall repairs. The owner is pleasant, professional and really knows his craft. I had a plumbing leak inside my walls. My project started out with a plumber, who rerouted the pipes and completed a fabulous repair. BAWC came in to put the walls and ceiling patches back in and texture them. He also replace the patch in the garage and fire taped it. The cuts that go around the pipes were perfect. I was on a serious time frame to get this work done as I was in the middle of refinancing my home. BAWC completed the repair quickly, the new texture exactly matches the existing texture, and the work was completed before the appraiser arrived. BAWC absolutely understood my need to get the walls fixed quickly and he came through for me again. I highly recommend Bay Area Wall and Ceiling to Angie's List members.

911 Restoration of San Jose
4.0
I phoned two companies from Angies List: 911 Restoration and another that was rated higher. Both responded and gave me quick appointments. The other did not show up for the appointment. 911 Restoration responded immediately, came promptly for the appointment, and executed the agreement the same day and did the dry out as promised. They were supposed to give me an estimate for the repair work, which they did not do even though I prompted them a few times - perhaps they are not good in that type of work. I finished the repair using another contractor. However, I am glad for the speedy response and quick turnaround by 911 Restoration.

He is a general contractor in the bay area.

Drywall Repair Near You

Some drywall repair contractors are better than others.

Make sure you're set up with the best. To get the most out of your drywall repair situation, follow these expert tips on how to hire for drywall repair in your town.

1. Ask About Licensing and Insurance

Depending on your location, a business license could be the only thing required for drywall repair. Find out which licensing procedures are required in your area, and then make sure that prospective drywall repair contractors are properly licensed. The right contractors will also be properly insured, and they will happily provide proof of insurance when asked.

2. Make Sure to Get a Written Contract

Whether your drywall repair project is big or small, a written contract is something that you can't do without. If your prospective drywall repair company prepares the contract themselves, make sure that you read it thoroughly to ensure that all of the points are satisfactory. If there are any issues with the contract, don't be shy to ask for revisions.

3. Follow the Rule of Three

Before you start with contracts, get three estimates from different pros to compare local prices for this service.

4. Ask About the Tools They Use

Ask for a rundown of the repair process from start to finish including information about the tools that your drywall repair contractors will use. It's also important to make sure that your contractors will clean up their own mess.

While most homeowners could probably perform basic drywall repair themselves, when the job gets too big to handle, it's time to call in the professionals.
