    I can start by saying that the people the owner (Mike) hires are the best. Matt, Randy, and Zac could not have been nicer or more professional. They worked so hard and were never anything but accommodating and helpful. I just really can’t say enough about what a great job they did. The work is so well done and I so appreciate the care and respect they took for my home. They cleaned up well and really put in a lot of extra effort, but never complained and were always pleasant to deal with. I’m sure this is a reflection on Mike because it always starts at the top.     The A/C checkup was typical of yearly service calls that are made. The leak turned out to be a little more involved, as there were really two leaks, plus the bladder for the well water pump also was showing sign of aging.     At roughly 11:30pm on a Saturday night I discovered that our sump pump had become overwhelmed and the sump pit was backing up a bit. The back up alarm was going off so I went to the basement to reset it. When I knelt down to do so, I heard a hiss coming from the PVC pipe that was attached to both the sump pump and the drain line leading out of the house. After just a couple second of this hissing sound, the pipe fell off completely almost as if it were saying, "Forget this, I give up! No more water flowing through me!" After the pipe fell to the floor water immediately began shooting up like a fountain from the pump and at the same time water was cascading down to the basement floor from the drain pipe that exited the house through the basement wall. I say cascade, but it was more like a fire hose opened up from the wall shooting water on the basement floor Niagra-style. I called the first three advertising plumbers I saw on Angie's List- not because they were offering a coupon but because I know they are only allowed to advertise if they are one of the best of the best in the first place. Peterman was the third of my three calls and the first to respond after others gave me arrival times anywhere from 10-18 hours later. Craig was the individual who responded to my call. He said he lived just a few minutes away and would arrive directly, in about 15 minutes. True to his word, he showed up exactly 15 minutes later just as my indoor basement swimming pool was beginning to fill quite nicely and very rapidly. There were a couple of significant roadblocks that Craig encountered along the way that required what I would refer to as on-the-fly-expert-plumbing-engineering but ultimately Craig did everything he said he would. He showed up when he said he would, he did all he could to remedy the situation, he answered questions, provided me insight as to what to expect over the next several hours, and provided me with assurance that not only would all be well but that if it wasn't he would ensure that whatever remaining problems there might be that he would fix those as well. Craig estimated that there was roughly 3200 gallons of water in my basement and that the water line in the worst spots was nearly 6 inches and that in others it was as low as 2 inches; yes, our low water line was 2 inches high 50 feet away from the sump pit. After Craig left at 2:30am, I went to bed only to wake at 8am that same morning. When I checked on the basement, all standing water was gone, the pump was operating properly, and the new piping and seal were holding just as expected. Sure, the floor is still soaked but thankfully our unfinished basement is used primarily for storage and our minimal losses are mitigated by this fact. Needless to say, this was an emergency plumbing situation and Craig treated it as such going above and beyond every feasible notion of professionalism, urgency, and attention

    I am disappointed by their scheduling of furnace/AC tune-up. This was the third time I contacted this business for a tune-up using their deal. In each of the first 2 occasions, they pushed my requested tune-up time 2-3 months out. This time, I requested tune-up 2 months in advance. However, the associate again told me that they had to push it 6 months out, due to their technicians’ capacity and prioritization of customers with service agreements. The associate also suggested me to call 8 months in advance to schedule a tune-up. What? For a tune-up? The deal would have expired in 6 months. Apparently, this business either doesn’t have the capacity, or doesn’t care about tune-up requests from customers without service agreements. In whatever case, it would be transparent and save others’ time, to simply add your limitations into the fine points of the deal

    It was $300 cheaper to rip out and replace my sidewalk then do concrete leveling. I chose leveling due to schedule. That could be done immediately. Rip out and replace not till spring and then it would create a mess. In the end i wish I would have waited. The leveling was so so. I believe what the contractor did was best that the technology could do. I talked to the craft about my concerns while on-site and they were straight forward with answers. Basically technology was over sold. MasterServices was professional. They followed up before install and after.. There is a difference between service and product. My issue is totally with product delivered. Let's talk price as I'm sure many want to know costs. The minimum charge is $1500, but thats standard in the industry. I had 10 foot of sidewalk so that is why it would have been cheaper to replace. Actually 10 ft was lifted but the quote on replacement was everything 20' plus front stoop. He said they could do the work the next day and we arranged a call prior to the arrival so I could meet them. They were running early and I gave them the info of how to get into the house.
