University of Alicante starts the year with two golds and one silver at university trail running competition

Last weekend, this year’s first CADU individual competition took place in Vilamarxant, Valencia province.

The UA won the team gold medal (17th trail running event at 3 Pics Les Rodanes) and the individual gold and silver medals (women’s category).

UA Leagues – Spring Trophy

REGISTRATION IS FREE

Sign up for the UA Leagues - 1st Spring Trophy. Registration is open from 17 January to 6 January.

Matches will take place from 14 February 2022, starting at noon at the earliest and ending at 4 p.m. at the latest.

Available sports: 8-a-side football, 5-a-side football, 3x3 basketball, 3x3 padball, paddle, climbing, squash, tennis and table tennis.

COVID CERTIFICATE REQUIRED

Starting from 24 December 2021, those aged 12 or over will be required to show their EU DIGITAL COVID CERTIFICATE in order to gain access to the sports facilities.

Instructor-led physical activities

Instructor-led physical activities, with quarterly or monthly registration (daily booking of sessions also possible)

  • QUARTERLY REGISTRATION: From the 20th day of the previous month
    • Paddle 1 and paddle 2: From the 23rd day of the previous month. In March, sessions of these two courses will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • MONTHLY REGISTRATION: From the 23rd day of the previous month
  • DAILY BOOKING: no earlier than 4 days (96 h) prior to the relevant session

UA Running Programme

The UA Sports Service has a training programme for runners. The programme aims for scientific knowledge to be applied to sports practice. You will have a qualified coach (a graduate in Physical Education and Sports Sciences) in charge of directing the training sessions.

Exercise Programme for Over 55s

The UA Sports Service has a free programme exclusively for students, admin, service, academic and research staff over the age of 55. Through this programme they will receive specific training to reduce the effects of ageing, whether biological (sensory, cardiovascular, respiratory, body composition, brain function, etc.), psychological or social.
