Summer's couldn't install the closed loop system but they recommended Indiana Geothermal, the gentleman from Summer's came and waited for 45 minutes for the Indiana Geothermal to come. He was so patient and helpful. We will definitely use them to service the system. They were prompt and professional.

We were comfortable with the associated price. They know how to handle geothermal units and any repairs and/or maintenance that they make lasts. They're great with scheduling but sometimes there can be a slight delay while waiting for the technician who specializes in geothermal units.

Nigel and TopShelf Geothermal handle all the annual maintenance and service for our Environmental Testing Laboratory. This encompasses 10-15 rooftop units and numerous hoods and exhaust fans as well as storage coolers. We ran through the yellow pages over the years looking for honest responsive HVAC support, but when Nigel came in and announced he wanted our business (as an employee of one of the big local companies) he earned it . After Nigel left that big local company to start Top Shelf Geothermal, we found that the service we were getting from them no longer up to par. We hired Top Shelf Geothermal at the beginning of 2010 and are back to getting what we're used to...honest, responsive service at a competitive price. I highly recommend Top Shelf Geothermal.

The service and install crew at WCA were very professional and did a great, very tidy, job of installing my Geothermal nearly 2.5 years ago. My biggest issue with WCA was with one of their sales guys that, to me, gave false information on how their warranty worked. I've since chatted with other individuals at WCA and am still a bit confused on how to fully guarantee the 15 year warranty (is it serviced twice per year and does it have to be by WCA or can other certified vendors also do the maintenance?) There was also an issue with "drain pans" for the hot water heaters that I had discussed with one of the guys when they came out to do the measurements which were not installed (I was told it would be $200 to install them but they really couldn't because they were behind schedule... so that was disappointing). However, that sales rep is no longer with the company, but is the primary reason I can't give them an "A" for this work. For my install, they did the "Vertizontal" which means they were basically the only company that could do an install in my typical suburban home (on a 1/3 acre lot). They were on time and completed the entire job in about a week. The ground where they did the major amount of digging has now fully settled and is not overly noticeable (it's about a 6'x8') area. I've recommended WCA to a few friends and one of them had WCA install a Geo-Thermal in their house too.

We've worked with Precision in the past. They installed our geothermal furnace about 12 years ago and we have regular maintenance done twice a year. We love geothermal, it's just great and economical! Due to a power problem, our furnace burned out so we got a new system. The new one is updated and even better than the old one as it's very quiet and heats and cools the whole house. We were out of town when they installed it but we have full confidence in them and their technicians so we gave them a key. They came in and took out the old and installed the new, so when we came home it was all working and the house was just fine. I would highly recommend them! All the technicians we've had have been highly professional. Anyone that buys a geothermal furnace, though they're more expensive, they're much more economical in the long run. It heats your hot water, does both air conditioning and heat, and everything is combined into one system.

The owner removed and hauled away our old Geothermal system and installed the new one in about 2-1/2 days. The work included a humidifier and new thermostat. He arrived on time and worked steady throughout the day in a professional manner.

It was after 6 PM last Friday evening, outdoor air temps were close to 90 and humidity was worse. My wife arrived home to find the inside conditions about the same as outside. Our geothermal system (which I love) had decided to take a break. I figured there was no way I'd get service Friday night after such a brutal week of high heat and humidity. However, one phone call and 15 minutes later, Chris from Precision Comfort was working on the unit. He had it running again within the hour and the house was comfortable again by 8:30 PM. Thanks, Chris for delaying the start of your weekend to improve mine, and thanks to Precision Comfort for your focus on customer service.

WILLIAMS HAS PREFORMED SERVICE ON MY HVAC ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PUNCTUAL AND PROFESSIONAL.

I needed to replace a 14 year old Water Furnace with a new one. The price from this contractor was substantially less than several other quotes. He was offering a Carrier/Bryant 50YDV-064 dual-stage furnace with ECM blower (Carrier/Bryant/Climate Master are all the same furnace). Nigel's price was $5864 for the furnace with 15KW backup heater, plus $1800 for installation. If the horizontal loop needed pumping out, he would have done that and replaced the flow center for approximately $1500. The exact same furnace installation (which may have included the flow center replacement) was quoted in the $14-15K range by 3 other HVAC contractors, and the equivalent Water Furnace best quote was approximately $11K. I opted to keep my flow center on Nigel's advice, due to their low failure rate. At first it seemed too good a price, so I looked him up on BBB and Angie's list to make sure. It took two weeks for him to work through his backlog of work and get to me. Installation lasted a little over 4 hours from start to finish; access to the area through a walk-out basement sped things up (these units weigh over 400 lbs). The installation quality is what I'd expect from the average contractor. They could have been a little less rushed, but in the end, the furnace I wanted cost thousands less than other quotes. It has been running well for two weeks. I can only conclude that other HVAC installers are gouging their customers by pocketing most of the 30% tax credit. By his own admission, Nigel does well out of installation ($1800 for half a day's work is proof of that) and doesn't need to make a huge profit on the furnace. Overall, I recommend him highly and would use his services again.
