Jim is very personable and explains all work performed. The minimal charge is $75 and lets you know what and where to purchase a part if it is a simple part replacement you can do it yourself

    Needed work done on my power washer engine and Mel had me bring it to him right away on a Tuesday. He knew immediately what the problem was (the carburetor) and said he should have it finished by Thursday PM. I was pleasantly surprised when he called me at noon on Wednesday and said he had me ready to go, AND for less $ than he had originally quoted me! I know who will be getting all my small engine repair business in the future! I highly reccomend Mel

    I was told it would take about a week to get them back due to all the people bringing in items. When I went to the shop there were 14 items that had been brought in that day alone! Although he conservatively said a week, I had both mowers back in 2 days ready for work. Just really great service. One had an issue with the fuel intake and the other needed a tune up, however he informed me that it had damage to part of it. This mower was gifted to us and I suspect they just didn't take care of it over the years. It ran well enough when we got it back, but it continues to burn small amounts of oil

    Mel and his crew did a variety of jobs (trees trimmed, mulched and cleaned flower beds, hauled off junk and down limbs, repaired our lawn mower) for us and completed them all wonderfully in a timely manner. He and his crew were dependable, had reasonable prices, and did a great job. We called for help with out lawn mower and then kept finding more jobs that Mel could do. Very happy with the work they did for us

    I broke the throttle shaft on my mower and took it in. Jim looked at it and had several ideas right away. He checked for parts and could only find a full carborator kit, which he felt was too expensive. he offered me a cheaper alternative, which we went with. My mower has been working great since. he also changed the oil, sharpened the blade, and gave it a tuneup. He estimated the repair time at time of drop off would be around a week, but had it back to me in less than that

    My Ryobi trimmer would start but die when you throttled it. I brought it in at lunch, and Jim got it to work in 20 minutes or less. Jim explained how cheaply these things are made, and so I was blessed that nothing more serious was wrong. Otherwise, it might not have been cost effective to repair it.     Service tech was new to Sears Service and had no experience with dishwashers. He was on his cell phone the entire time he was here, trying to get help with diagnosing our problem. They finally decided the wash cycle sensor was no working and needed to be replaced ($300). I declined opting to just but a new dishwasher, since ours was 8 years old. I was very disappointed that they would send a repairman that had no experience with the appliance needing repair
