A Accurate Air Conditioning and Heating

Our initial contact with this firm was in July of 2013. The initial person that came out was extremely rude to my wife but we had to use this company because it was the one affiliated with our maintenance warranty service. Our warranty service covered $1000 and we had to pay about $1900 out of pocket for the service. After the service was done, the A/C unit still didn't cool the house so they had to come back out again because they did not seal a specific area. Since the area was not sealed, they had to come back out to seal it and add freon. January 20, 2014 - Over the weekend, I noticed that my outside air conditioning fan would try to run but would shut down after 5-10 seconds. This would cause my heating unit to run on Auxiliary Heat because the fan was not running correctly. I was told that this could be because I did not have enough pressure going to the fan (due to a potential leak) which was causing it to do a preventive shutdown. Since AAccurate did the work on this unit, I called them to see what they could do about the situation. I called the company at approximately 7:30 AM. The person who answered just said "Hello" so I had to confirm that I had called the right company. When I confirmed that this was AAccurate and explained that they had been to my house in 6 months ago to do the work, the person on the phone seemed to be defensive that my current problem could not be any way related to the work that they had recently performed. He then explained that, since we only installed a new coil and not an entire system, they only provided a 30 day warranty on parts and labor. He then stated that, if we had bought an entire system, the warranty would 10 years. We now would have to be responsible for any trip charges and any other fees associated with diagnosing a problem that could potentially have been associated with their work. Needless to say, after spending approximately $2900 with this company and receiving this type of service, I will not be looking to give them any more of my money so I will now be calling one of the A Rated providers on Angie's List to fix my problem.

We went for a repair of the unit , not a replacement.
