Thermostat Installation in San Francisco

Mark Lunt installed a new programmable thermostat for me, then checked to be sure my heat and a/c units were working properly. Didn't try to sell me on anything which I think is a sign of a trustworthy company. He communicated promptly, was on time and very professional and even replaced my filters for me. Would definitely go back to him for the additional work needed when the time comes!

Flanders Heat and Air is simply amazing. I purchased a certificate from Angie's list for a service call from Flanders Heat and Air. When I explained on the phone that I was having problems after installing a wifi thermostat, the technician from Flanders suggested that try replacing a fuse before they need to examine the system. He took a picture of the fuse I would need, texted it to me, explained which one to buy and where to get it. I bought a box of fuses from an Autozone for a few bucks replaced the one that blew and everything worked fine. I called to say thank you and asked what I owed and they said I owed nothing. I never expected that. I still have my certicicate saved away in case I need it again some day as he said it never expires. I would recommend Flanders to anyone looking for old fashioned, honest to goodness, neighborly service. All I can say is WOW!!!

Went very well. Determined that a switch on new circuit board was set wrong and that connector on new ignitor was not connecting correctly. Unit is two stage but had a one stage thermostat, replaced. Cost was fair and reasonable. Technicians were friendly and knowledgeable.

Outstanding! We decided to invest in our home and add central air conditioning. And given that our furnace was nearly 30 years old, we had that replaced at the same time. Using Angie’s List, we considered 4 different contractors for this job. All of them were certainly competent, but Allied Aire stood out for us. The owner, Arnie, took the time to understand our needs and he had a really great way of explaining the mechanical details. He also helped us understand an option to significantly reduce the noise output… something that none of the other contractors even considered. The statement of work from Allied Aire was substantially more detailed than the other contractors, which helped us to better understand the work and components involved, along with the cost. And their quote was clearly the most reasonable. When it was time to start the work, the crew introduced themselves and explained what they would be doing over the course of 2-1/2 days. We were very appreciative that the crew respected our home as if it were there’s. Every day, they placed thick drop clothes on our floors to keep them clean and undamaged. When they brought in ladders, equipment and the HAVC parts, they were extra careful not to scrape or damage the walls or furnishings. And every night, they removed the drop clothes and left the house as clean as they found it. The crew worked well together, they kept us informed and importantly they always checked in to get our input whenever there were choices to be made (i.e. routing of wires and pipes, placement of smart thermostat, etc.) As we watched the crew perform their work, it was clear that they knew what they were doing, and they did it carefully while paying attention to the details. When the job was completed, the crew took time to show us everything and explain both the functionality of the HAVC components as well as how to operate the new smart thermostat. We love our new, efficient and very quiet heating and cooling system. We are very grateful for Allied Aire… professional, diligent, considerate, and reliable. Called to schedule an appointment. Person was rude on the phone and his response to my question, he answered about not having a part, instead of anything to do with scheduling a service call.

Jaime showed up on time and got right to work; he had my new thermostat installed and furnace cleaned/tuned up in under 90 minutes. The total bill was around $200 which I thought was incredibly reasonable. I would definitely use them again!

The technicians that came to install our HVAC system were super friendly and accommodating to my many requests about locations of the furnace, vent pipes, the condenser wiring, piping, and the condenser itself. When I asked for a 90 degree boot feeding two registers so the piping could stay high, a technician made a run to a store and found them. I want to give a shout out to Danny Aguilar who installed the furnace with Edgar and Victor. Grant Duran with Jose and Richard did an amazing job installing the vent pipes. Finally Adolph Garcia with Gabriel and later several other technicians I previously mentioned all worked to install the AC system (condenser and its plumbing + electrical). They worked late into the day to complete the job. I was very demanding in where I wanted things installed and requested changes on a regular basis but in all cases I was accommodated.

It was wonderful. We had gotten an estimate for the job from our long term heating contractor. They bid $5,695.00. We went to El Cerrito Heating for a second bid and they came in at $2,740 which was 52% less than our trusted long term heating contractor. Both bids were for the same furnace brand and model and for the same work. We now consider l Cerrito Heating our new Heating contractor.
