    The project is a large-scale collaborative effort that will prevent future loss of migratory cutthroat trout & other native fish by installing a fish screen on the Spread Creek irrigation system & make much-needed improvements to stabilize the diversion structure & channel (2/2)

    An elk reduction program begins Sat, Nov 6, in Grand Teton. The park’s enabling legislation of 1950 authorizes GTNP to jointly administer the program with WY Game & Fish Dept when necessary for proper management & conservation of the Jackson Elk Herd. Info

    Beginning tomorrow, visitors may use the Teton Park & Moose-Wilson roads for recreational activities such as walking, cycling & skating during the period of time the roads are snow free. Once snow begins to accumulate on the roadbeds, the status changes to over-snow access. (2/3)

    Park officials ask visitors and local residents to practice vigilance while driving in Grand Teton. In the last 2 weeks alone, 5 bison, 1 elk, 1 mule deer, 1 pronghorn, 1 coyote and 1 wolf pup were hit and killed by vehicles traveling on park roads. Info:

    Grand Teton stats on recreation visits show that September 2021 was the 2nd busiest on record for the month of Sept. The park hosted an estimated 570,584 rec visits. This is a 10% increase from Sept 2019 and a 5.5% decrease from Sept 2020. (1/2) Info:
