Dear Colleagues,

Would you be so kind to tell how to turn off the 2FA on account because I lost access to authentication app. I can access the account using cell phone pass recovery but I cannot turn 2FA without the code from app (or using of sms pass code as an option). There is no specific FAQ on the issue.

Hello @military_medic

Welcome!

Apologies for delay in responding:disappointed_relieved:

  1. Please read before you create a new topic!
  2. SMS is the default 2FA authentication method.
  3. If you’re able to sign into (your) MyKaspersky account, the authentication app code isn’t required to disable the authentication app → your MyKaspersky account password is required to disable the authentication app:
  4. In MyKaspersky, select Account Settings, select Disable (for Authenticator app), in the popup, enter your MyKaspersky account password, select Continue - result is shown in image 3

:warning: Kaspersky recommends setting up authenticator apps on multiple devices to maintain access if one of the devices is unavailable:warning:

Please post back if more info or assistance is required?

Thank you:pray_tone3:

Dear @Flood and Flood's wife,

Thank you for the fast reply. I have overlooked the phrase password with the passcodes (...to be updated) in the 2FA management menu. The issue is solved. Thank you!
