Classic Widgets

I've just resumed the Blog aspect of my site and wanted to add a Widget to my sidebar. I had NO idea Widgets had gone crazy. I don't use/like the Block editor model at all, everything was jumbled and chaotic, it was calling all of my Widgets "Legacy widgets"... I had no idea what the heck I was going to do. This plug-in instantly restored order. I easily added what I wanted to add and was done in a few short minutes. Grateful for this plugin.

Can't stand Gutenburg, the UI is absolutely horrible, and still can't believe it became part of core. Now I have to install 4 plugins just to remove it from our installs. Worst decision WP has ever made. It should've remained a plugin just like all of the other Page Builders out there. Sorry for the vent, but thank you for creating this! Will be willing to donate in order for it to continually be maintained.

The new Gutenberg Widget model sucks. This plugin rocks.

Please WP do tell me how the "new" widget work area is "better" than the old. You push this block technology like is a mandatory government face mask, and onto people who neither want it or need it.

Thank goodness. I have a theme with certain widgets that just do not display well in the new berg style widget UI. So relieved this exists! Matt M., look me up and let’s chat. I disagree that one should implement something in a web product’s core unless it’s pretty near perfect. I’m getting used to the berg (block editor) UI for writing posts. It’s at least somewhat less buggy than it once was. But, the new widget UI is still pretty buggy. Fingers crossed for WordPress that things get better with the berg. It’s definitely the most buggy WordPress has been since I started using it in 2005/2006.
