Support » Fixing WordPress » Home page doesn’t load/error on page

  • Dear Support,
    Initially I couldn’t login to the dashboard. The message I received said to go to PHP admin to WP-options, active plugins and change the value to active_plugins
    a:0:{}. I did this and now nothing shows up on the homepage or any page except errors. I’m sure this has something to do with the Slider. How do I get the site to show up again.
    Thank you
    EBentgen

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @ebentgen 👋

    I took a look at your site and can see the error you’re making a reference to. I see a bunch of shortcodes over there:

    vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces”][vc_column][vc_column_text]...

    This seems to be coming from a deactivated Visual Composer/WP Bakery plugin. Reactivating the same should fix the issue. You should be able to find the plugin installed in Plugins > Installed Plugins within your site. If not, you might need to install that plugin again (if it is deleted).

    I hope that helps!

    I tried to reinstall plugins but they don’t activate and I’m thinking this is because of the change I made in myphp-wp-options where I changed the active plugins to a:0:{}

    I was able to get most of the site back. Now the Slider issue when I tried to activate the plugin:
