About me:

I'm a enthusiast photographer... not a pro. I do sell work from time to time, but this is primarily prints to individuals and small product shoots for businesses.

My day job is accounting and have spent about 12 years (prior to accounting) in the IT and software development fields, managing and designing IT systems and developing applications (mainly for internal company use, not major applications for the public). I also develop software for our products (robotic automation).

Regarding my gear... I buy cameras more based on function/needs and features and not so much brand. My primary system is Nikon but this is because I have carried over stuff from my previous Nikon systems so it only made sense financially to stick with Nikon. Of course I've reached a point where I look at cameras and brands objectively and will be critical where I feel its warranted -- even of Nikon at times. In the end, all camera companies bring something to the table and they create competition, which is good for the consumer. The key is to find a system that works for you and use it...

About my kit:
As many will see, I have several bodies, but use each for various tasks:
* Z7 II - Primary body for landscape, travel and portraiture
* Z7 - backup body for portraiture and landscape; also use in urbex (urban exploration: exploration abandoned places)
* Z6 II - primarily for wildlife and for low-light situations where I'm not on a tripod and have to shoot handheld;
* Z5 - I mainly use this body for urbex-ing when I have to work in low-light and shoot handheld. This is also a "spare" body that I can loan out to people or let other people use if needed (because of it s low replacement cost if it gets damaged).

(The lenses are obviously shared among all the bodies, and used depending on the task; When I travel to do photography-specific tasks, the Z II bodies -- Z6 II and Z7 II -- are usually the only bodies I bring; the rest stay at home -- except for when I do urbex, then I use the other two bodies and the Z II's stay at home).
