@Foskito What a nonsense. A7C has the 2020 AF features, it is better than both A7 II and A7 III.
-
A7C is not gone, it doesn't have anything with A7 II. I am perfectly happy with it, there were occasional 20 to 30 percent discounts. I've specifically chosen it over the A7, because I prefer to...

I think they will try to keep it at least for the vlogging model(s), but otherwise you may be right. I am glad I upgraded to full frame earlier this year. To be honest, I can't be more happy, as ...

Currently there are no APS-C models manufactured due to the components shortage. https://www.sonyalpharumors.com/sony-announced-it-halted-the-production-of-the-a6600-and-a7c-and-it-will-no-more-pro ...

This source mentions A7C as well :-O https://www.sonyalpharumors.com/sony-announced-it-halted-the-production-of-the-a6600-and-a7c-and-it-will-no-more-produce-the-a7ii-and-a6100-cameras/

While I agree I can't find a real world scenario where it matters, assuming you're a non-professional photographer. If you drop or smash your camera, both lenses would have been broken anyway. I ...

Not sure if the Tamron 35-150 F2-F2.8 would be a major improvement over the F2.8 lens you already have. It is F2.8 starting at 80mm. I also thought about it, but ended up with the prime lenses I ...

But when you start to read more than the title: "My budget is a bit limited as I'm changing systems" ;-)

In that case I would wait. It is very likely Sigma will release 50/F1.4 DG DN for less than half price of the Sony.
-
No doubt. But also six times more expensive than F1.8 Samyangs.

The Sony lenses will always have the best AF. The 55mm is one of the first lenses made for Sony FE back in 2013. Some pople love it, some don't. The 85 one is good especially if you can get a ...

I use Samyang 75/F1.8 ( more technical review ) on A7C for live concerts and it works fine. But you need the Samyang USB Lens Station (I got it for free with the lens) in order to update the lens ...

The first A7 is a very old camera so you might get a (false) bad impression about the Sony cameras in general. It is slow, lacks IBIS and has very noisy shutter. I think the A7 II is the oldest ...

I wouldn't bother with F2.8 and got F1.8 only. The Samyang F1.8 tiny series is very good budget option. https://sonyalpha.blog/2020/10/11/samyang-35mm-f1-8/ Sony 35/F1.8 isn't bad as well, ...

Yet another FE full manual cheap (300 USD) lens made by almost unknown Japanese brand. I browsed the Sony Alpha blog reviews and got impressed by this lens . When it comes to performance it is ...

How much difference would have been seen in a real photos? This is typical synthetic test. IMHO all camera at similar price point is great nowadays. Sometimes I feel people have forgotten it is...

The AF usually gets better with further firmware updates.

Tamron 28-200. Yes, it is a superzoom, but surprisingly good . I'd rather pick a second wide prime lens (at least F1.8) instead of a F2.8 zoom. Skip the 24mm ones, it is too expensive and bulky.
