You have a Sony kit, I mean rebranded Minolta... so when did you buy Olympus gear?
-
At the very least the protective film on the LCD should still be there. I'd check the shutter count if it were mine, but otherwise, re-selling returns as new isn't un-usual. Can't have it both ...

It's an M43 20mm/f1.4 lens to every M43 users out there and since it won't fit on a FF camera what do we care what FF does? Do you compare your FF lenses to Medium Format equivalents?

Good suggestion. In a way Olympus SLR Talk never was accurate to begin with since Oly SLRs are film cameras (coincidentally Olympus OM System), not DSLRs.
-
Is this thread name going to change to OM System Talk now that Olympus is no more (kind of)?
-
I believe the statement made by OMDS was than an announcement of a new camera was to happen in approximately a year from that statement, not that there would be a new camera available by year end. ...

Nice photos, the lens sure can deliver, although I'll have to stick to a more modest ($$$) lens + a handfuls of peanuts when it comes to squirrels, tx for sharing though, who can resist squirrel ...

You sincerely think that a handful of investors (JIP) would have the vision and interest in coordinating their assets (companies) operation? Not in a million years !
-
Olympus did not set-up OMDS, JIP did, and OMDS was never a Division of Olympus. Olympus Camera Division was sold/transfered/given to JIP, who formed OMDS who rebranded the products it manufactures ...

I would also try putting it back together and holding the plate with a few drops of Gorilla glue if it were me. Paying the price of a new (used) camera to replace a $10 lart is simply ridiculous.
-
Looking forward to getting this lens in combo with a new weather sealed PEN F II ;-)... maybe someday!
-
You bet... this is what I did with a $100 35 year old lens (Pentax A35-105) and Topaz Gigapixel AI !
-
Definitely more my league! I ought to consider the 75-300mm, even if so so (in comparison), it most likely would be as good if not better than getting an oldie manual tele lens. Not as affordable ...

Just out of curiosity, I checked out what it would cost for a wildlife photography "kit": E-M1MkIII + 40-150/2.8 + 300/4 + MC14, ... after Black Friday Sale savings and tax... $9200CDN !!!! ...

Sorry these are taken with my lowly 7yrs old EM10Mk1, but it still does the job for me with the 12-45mm/4 attached. Post processed in ACDSee Ultimate: But this one was taken with my 40yrs old ...

Speaking of primes, where are the prime lenses over 75mm and below 200mm?
-
Add UPS to the list. An increasingly frequent occurence it seems, and I'm guessing linked to an increased used of 3rd party carriers to cope with volume due to COVID.
-
Either that or the hinge is bent are my guesses.

I don't think that it's a bug myself. ACDSee generates its own preview thumbnails which are stored in its database, but obviously DxO puts it into the file, which ACDSee displays in View mode but ...

Beautiful images. Re. The plastic body did you mean that you don't care for, or that you don't mind? Big difference.
