Many times I will have a vision of what I want, I will plan the shot in my head, or at least have a good idea of what I want. Then, I will make it happen as best as I can. So, show us an image you planned out. Either you set it up, or you waited until the perfect time, say sunrise, to capture the image. Whatever it is it has to have been thought out before you took the shot. Be honest and good luck!

Full Moon in North Window

i wanted to get the full moon rising in an arch while at arches national park. i checked several arches that day with an app to no avail and at last i found the moon would rise through the north window. it took me another hour to figure out where to stand. i was thrilled when i first saw the moon in the arch and i had to move over 20' feet to get the alignment i wanted.....

I zoomed in a lot and now I see someone holding a phone camera wearing dark clothes.So a shadow of a shadow is what it is

Great planning and capture :-)
As an idea, you may try to crop it a little to get rid of the sky and then mirror it around the left side (crop again a little) to make a face with two eyes?

Curious, as the light is behind, so their back should be as well lit as the children.

the light -- setting sun -- was at my back. if you look closely you can see a shadow of the person dressed in black

I am intrigued by the dark object, that sees to have a shadow, below the 2 people.

This is outrageous!!! :-)

This photo is dangerous on so many levels.

Firstly, it proves wrong that you need mirrorless cameras to take good photographs.

Secondly, it enrages people that buy new cameras when the illusion falls that a new ("more capable") camera in no way make *them* personally a better photographer as it proves photograhy is <90% about whats between your ears.

(*Anyone* challenging this: Show me your your photowins and your Adam Ansel type photographs, that has gotten the same world impact: Clue: You dont stand a chance, not even until the end of time!)

Furthermore, it undermine the whole purpose of this site ("objective photo news" as a means to the peddling of camera gear for Amazon)

This is actually like Jane fonda or Arnold schwarzenegger would show up at a 80s' diet-pill convention saying "you dont need any of that, you need to move your *ss - thats all there is to it")

I now have to find a safe-space buy-gear-site where I can be protected from this :-)

Very nice subject and mix of colours. One of the better images I have seen. Still I think the image can be improved with some more cropping.

Wonderful image. I bet there was a lot of thought and planning that went into the shot it in order to be in the right position at the right moon phase at the right time of day. Well done.

It is a great shot but I agree with you that some cropping would make it better. I would also clone out the parent taking the shot of the kids. I kinda like the kids for scale.

Amazing shot! Is it a single capture or a composite? I know it can be hard to expose for both moon and foreground. Either way, congratulations, this one really paid off!
