The following statement discloses Kaspersky Lab's privacy policies for LiveChat (hereinafter, “the service”). Please note that the service is provided by Kaspersky Labs Asia Ltd (hereinafter, "Kaspersky Lab" or “we”). By personal data or personal information, we mean information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context.
We collect and process personal data you may provide to us for the purpose of providing you with the service and fulfill our respective obligations. In particular,
- We will collect and process chat session data such as your IP address, time and data of chats as well as chat content data and uploaded files in order to provide you with the service.
- Additionally, we will process contents of your chats with our support team (chat history) and any uploaded files in order to control and improve our service quality and/or to better understand requests by comparison with previous chats.
- We will collect and process your e-mail address, activation code in order to let the customer support agent see your account details and in order to have contents of your chats sent to you.
We delete personal data as required by applicable law. Chat history data including uploaded files will be deleted 60 days after collection or upon your request.
Kaspersky Lab may provide the above information to its partners, who may also reside outside the European Economic Area, and who shall use it only under their obligations to Kaspersky Lab, in accordance with applicable law, and providing the same guarantees and the same level of data protection as Kaspersky Lab. Please be advised that we may disclose your personal information if legally required to do so by government agencies, judicial courts or law enforcement bodies, or to protect the safety of the public or any person, or to prevent or stop activity we consider to be illegal.
Kaspersky Lab has implemented necessary technical, physical, and administrative means to protect your data against loss, theft or unauthorized modification.
You have the right at any time to correct or delete your personal data. In accordance with the privacy statement, send all questions via the form https://support.kaspersky.com/support/privacy.
This Privacy Statement may change at any time as the result of significant changes in the operation of the relevant services, whereupon the date of the most recent modification shall be indicated. Therefore, please read the Privacy Statement again from time to time if you frequently use the service.
