    Hi…
Just installed the plugin on a WordPress 5.8.2 website, with elementor and an Astra theme.
I need it to work with my vimeo videos… but it doesn’t.
When I put a YouTube video just under the Vimeo video – it grabs the thumbnail from YouTube without a problem…
Could you fix it so it would work with Vimeo too?

Can you please provide the vimeo URLs you’re trying with so we can confirm if it’s a general issue or one with those specific videos?

    Hi Michael ( @tw2113 ),

The same is happening with me.

Here is one of the Vimeo links that I’ve tested the plugin with:
    https://vimeo.com/56282283
Embed code used inside post =
    <iframe src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/56282283?h=ac171d413b" width="640" height="480" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Also, can you confirm that it works for domain-restricted Vimeo videos as well? Did not have a chance to confirm it as public videos were not showing thumbnails.

    Thanks in advance.

@amitkumarsingh at least for your case, I believe we’re running into the not quite yet handled WebP issue that I have opened a GitHub issue for over at https://github.com/WebDevStudios/Automatic-Featured-Images-from-Videos/issues/69

It hasn’t been pushed as part of a release yet, but I did make this small change of forcing fetching jpg versions in this commit https://github.com/WebDevStudios/Automatic-Featured-Images-from-Videos/commit/54bfb105fe9136f7b8643f8e53dc38302ce5a560

However, we’re also well past WordPress 5.8 and the intended WebP support, so I’m betting we need to revisit this topic as a whole and see what needs to be done to ensure the WebP support with the plugin too.

Not quite sure when I’ll be able to do that just yet with the end of year holidays and all.
