Researchers at Kaspersky keep a close eye on Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) and are observing 19 active threat actors that currently target organizations within the Middle East. Whilst these threat actors target a wide range of entities, Kaspersky researchers identified government, telecommunications and diplomatic institutions as the top targets in the region, followed by those in the energy sector.

Kaspersky demonstrated strong performance in 2023, marked by an 11-percent* growth in the company’s net sales bookings. This increase was primarily driven by robust sales of the company’s B2B product portfolio, which rose by 24% year-on-year (YOY). In 2023, Kaspersky’s global non-audited combined revenue amounted to USD 721 million**. In the Middle East, Turkiye and Africa (META) region Kaspersky saw 19% business growth. The B2B sales in the Middle East grew by 28%.

The Cyber Defense Center in Oman and Kaspersky signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote cooperation and conduct exchanges in ICT-cybersecurity related fields, paying particular attention to national cooperation and education.
