    We had two cracks in our foundation. One crack was much more severe than the other. For the mason contractors to properly fix the inside and outside of the cracked foundation they had to take out an old concrete patio slab. They fixed the foundation cracks and put in a new slab, filled in three basement windows, replaced two basement windows, installed two window wells, installed drainage pipe for gutter run off, and added fill around the foundation to make positive grade. Serena and Bo kept us in the loop every day to tell us what work was being performed for each day. We will definitely be using Staats Masonry again for any of our other future concrete jobs

    Serena from Staats, a family owned business, was prompt in coming to look over the work. She didn't rush the visit and looked over the entire property. She made numerous suggestions about things that I could do myself to help with moving water away from the foundation. She also reviewed the sidewalk which is breaking up and heaving. She was prompt in sending a proposal with details. But for the time being we are delaying the job until next spring before the shrubs begin to grow. Serena was thorough and knowledgeable about the things that had to be done. And I will and would hire Staats because of the honesty and knowledge

    The whole process went very smoothly. They cam out and gave me a free estimate for the work. They were back in a couple of weeks, on time, dug around the hole, filled and patched it, and even lay new dirt around the hole to make it flush with the lawn. We had also talked with two other contractors. Mario impressed us with his knowledge and how he would do the job. He listened to what we were saying. He was very careful with plants near the steps, careful with our lawn and did a great job cleaning up after. The two other workers along with Mario were pleasant, professional and good workers. I would highly recommend Mario and Pantalone Construction. We are very happy with our new steps!

    Just wanted to express my gratitude to George Ludwig and all his hard working folks at Northern Enterprises! My aunt was away from her home in Granville NY because she was helping care for my parents who both had medical issues in Virginia. Well the furnace went out, and the pipes burst and this resulted in water damage. I was helping her out with the insurance claim because she was busy with my folks. I was so lucky to find Northern Enterprises online. Not only was George Ludwig very responsive, he really helped handle the insurance claim too. We could not come back to NY to deal with any of this in person and it was just as Covid-19 was starting to be a concern in the states. George kept in touch with me by em-mail and text. He sent us any documents that we needed to sign, he sent photos of the work as things were progressing. He even waited to receive the final payment for the work he did until after we got the final payment from the insurance company. Not only did he do the work we asked, he did it with excellence! He went over and above anything that we expected. The house has been restored beautifully. And we never felt like we were at a disadvantage. There were no hidden expenses or unexpected expenses either. George made sure everything went well. He is a man of integrity who you can really trust.
