FULLER HANDYMAN SERVICE
5.0
Mr Fuller and team did an excellent job of putting together and securing a large 14x16 metal gazebo I purchased from Costco. I sent him the product info from the website for an advance quote. While unpacking, and laying out the parts for assembly, the team noticed a defective part, so they had to stop, and come back after the the replacement part arrived. As soon as I got the part, the full team of 5 was back on site to finish, everything looks great! Very professional and great quality work, I will be hiring again!

COMPLETE HOME IMPROVEMENT
3.0
The work was good, but he didn't clean up well. He had previously hung a picture for me and it was lovely. Regarding the gazebo, I wanted it lightly sanded, spray washed and then stained and sealed. I gave him the color that he needed to get. That went well, but he dripped on the concrete. He said that when he came back to do the deck, he would clean up the concrete. He came back to do the deck and never cleaned up the concrete. The deck took months and months and months because when he first got the boards, it was a composite and he didn't lay them out like you are supposed to. After he was done, I went out there and said what happened. He said that he noticed that they were all different colors. I went online and he wasn't very demonstrated. I had to call the company in Maine and give them all the information. It was a horrible experience after that. It wasn't that the deck wasn't level, but he didn't follow the procedures that they have online to lay the boards out first before you cut anything and if there are any discolorations, you take them back to where you bought them. It was a first generation product and they quit using it in December and they had a new product out in January. I gave him a pattern if he was going to use the mixed-up boards and he didn't follow it. I told him that he had to at least make it look like he met to rotate them. That wasn't so good and then he would call and say that he was going to come and he wouldn't come. Then one of the boards was coming up and he said he would definitely be there and I had to call him again and again. Another month goes by and I'm getting ticked off because I am tripping over the board on the deck and then he said he was always blocked on my phone, which was true because I had his conversations recorded on my answering machine. I think he thought he underestimated the amount of work, but that was his problem. He did the same thing with the gazebo and I gave him extra money because I felt sorry that he had underestimated the amount of stain it would take. I already knew how much it was going to take and I was quoted 15 gallons. He came with a gallon, so he had to get more. It wasn't that he wasn't nice and they did a beautiful job and it was perfectly level, but the boards were different colors. The place he bought them from wouldn't take them back because he had already cut them. He made the railing out of treated lumber and I told him I wished he had covered it with composite decking and he said that would make it all wavy, so I told him to put another board underneath it and he said that would be a day's labor for me. I also had to have him close the steps. The project had already been going on since February and it was now August. I don't know if I should try to putty all the holes and sand and paint it myself. It was not a pleasant experience. When they tore down the other one, they were very neat and clean. The deck would have been done, had he only paid attention to the color. I have a light gray composite and the whole idea was to never have to paint it. I had taken pictures and measurements and he lost those. It was just one thing after another. I think he is fine for minor jobs, but I would never use him again for anything major. He also had to rebuild the fence.

Spa Removers
5.0
Lando and the crew were professional, punctual, and did a thorough job. They took out a large rotting deck and gazebo, removed our spa, and cleaned the concrete underneath in record time. Our original quote from Lando for the entire job was for $3600, but since the job turned out to be quicker and less complicated than he had thought, he charged us $2600. Ordinarily, you hear the opposite ("this is going to cost more than I thought!") and but rarely does anyone revise down and say "this is going to cost less than I thought." An honest businessman, what can I say? On that alone, I'd recommend them, but the work they did was also excellent. They were concerned about leaving the job site clean and safe for our kids, too, which I appreciate.

Landscape Locators
5.0
Susan Vogel showed up, all business and professionalism. We'd never had contractors here, so no idea how landscaping was accomplished. She listened to us, came up with ideas, laid it all out, and then arranged for bids from three trusted landscape artists. It was a great relief to have someone who also cared about what we wanted, and could help up figure out how to turn it into reality. What a great idea! We selected Brian Tran's bid, and it was probably the smartest thing we've done in years. Brian was meticulous, focused, super competent, and had a great team. He oversaw everything himself, made sure that every day the work was structured and inspected. Our yard which had looked like a war zone when Brian showed up was gradually transformed, and after seven weeks of hard work we now have a miraculous fairy garden, with a white gazebo and a beautiful adjoining deck. Susan Vogel laid out a wonderful arrangement of 300 flowers, shrubs and trees - twice! - and oversaw the planting. We could not be happier. I'd fall over myself to recommend Landscape Locators and also Brian's company All-Pro Landscape Construction.

FANTASTIC!! Mick has been helping with our house since 2010. When we moved in, we had permitting issues with a gazebo and backyard stairs. He promptly took care of these issues. We had a massive kitchen leak which destroyed our hardwood floors and we had to replace our kitchen island. Mick to the rescue! He put us in touch with David who designed and procured the cabinet and countertop we wanted, and Mick put it all together. Simply gorgeous work! And he explains everything to you so you know what to expect, when to expect it, and he's so reasonably priced! We need him to repatch the drywall after our plumber cut open a giant hole in our dining room wall from another water intrusion issue, and since he is out here, we are having him replace our oversized and custom front door. There is nothing Mick cannot do. He also has an arsenal of amazing specialty contractors to do those things Mick does not do. He always comes along to make sure the work is done to his very exacting specification. We trust him with our home, and consider him a trust friend. Thank you Mick for always taking care of us!

SACRED SPACE GARDENS
5.0
Whenever I hire a professional to work on my house, I'm filled with trepidation. We've all heard the horror stories about jobs that, after they're started, are extended so much that they go weeks or even months past the agreed-upon deadline; about workers who are disrespectful; about corners being cut; about shoddy workmanship; and about owners not understanding the vision the customer has in mind, and/or the end product not resembling that vision. Sacred Space Gardens allayed all those fears, and proved to be one of the best companies we've ever worked with. Chris - who is always on time - met with us a few times to hear about our ideas and commit them to paper. He suggested a flagstone patio, a surrounding stone seating wall, a wooden pergola-like frame to replace the one being torn down, a flagstone reading area, artificial turf for our dog, multiple varieties of plants, a number of pathways, a drip/sprinkler system, and a nighttime lighting system. We took virtually all of his suggestions and hired him without even talking to anyone else. The two workers from Sacred Space Gardens (Lobsang [the construction manager] and Mr. Salvador), fixtures in our yard for many weeks, were a dream. I sort of miss them. They were friendly and professional, got along with each other famously, were always on time, worked incredibly hard, and cut no corners. Everything they did was artistic and rock-solid. We've rarely seen such knowledgeable attention to detail. They were also, by the way, very strong. Because there is no long, straight way to transport things from the garage into the backyard, they had to hand-carry everything, including dozens and dozens of heavy cement bags, one at a time through our downstairs hallway and laundry room. The schedule did run a couple of weeks long, but it was in no way anyone's fault. We had some unforeseen problems, including rain delays, and our soil turned out to be so riddled with rock that Lobsang and Mr. Salvador had to drill away at the rock for days in order to prepare the soil for planting. In the end, our yard turned out to be much more beautiful than we ever imagined. The patios, the stonework, the plants, and even our dog's area are stunning. We feel like we're in Paradise out there. Now I need to go stare at the yard for an hour, because that's what I continue to do on a regular basis.
