    I had to contact a mover on a Sunday. No other mover in Madison, WI was open except Top Notch Movers. They answered their phone. I told the owner that Colonial Van Lines, Pompano Beach, FL the day before we were scheduled to move, told us they would not move us even with 3 months notice, a contract with them and money down, which they took to secure the move. They asked us to give them a 3 day window and then the day before the first day, stated they couldn't move us none of the days. We had to be out of our house in 2 days. We rented from the current owner of our house. The contract would expire and we had to leave. One of the owners of Top Notch Movers, Andrew, said he would make it happen. He really didn't have time available because of other scheduled moves but he would fit us in and store our things and deliver our things after we had relocated to South Carolina. They arrived the next morning and we were moved out that day. Thank God! Thank you Top Notch and Angi. I don't know what we would have done had he not helped us on such short notice. They are a very concerned group of people who put people first. Their service is preeminent. The defiition of preeminent is "surpassing all others; very distinguished in some way." Thank you Top Notch. Thank you Angi for sending me a list of your best movers and helping me in a serious and stressful situation. Even if you check reviews by Googling, I found out, they are not always accurate and there is a way to bury the bad but true reviews until you dig further and then it can be too late. I found the other horror stories similar to mine from people who contracted with Colonial Van Lines, FL, after digging deeper. Going with a trusted service company like Angi, that reviews and filters good people who perform a service needed is the only way to trust someone with your life and your life events

    Jake assisted me in moving during a very stressful, short-notice relocation. All of my belongings were treated respectfully and the truck was packed expertly, as I only had just enough room to fit everything in one trip. Nothing was damaged and the process ran smoothly. Upon moving into my new home, I needed a lot of shelving installed which Jake did for me as well. It’s my least favorite part about setting up in a new place but having someone who needed little to no instruction (besides where and how I would like them) helped ease a lot of added stress that I would have otherwise had. I’ve moved a lot in the past 8 years and it was by far the best experience even with the least desirable circumstances

The two movers showed up on time, carefully moved all the furniture, and even wrapped a sofa and a pair of recliners in plastic so relatives could more easily pick them up.     I packed. They called promptly at 8 am and arrived 15 minutes later. I thought they were respectful of my things and of the spaces. Nothing was damaged. They are paid by the hour and they were very aware of time. One piece of furniture was left at the first place and they got it to me without charge. They do charge 4% extra if you want to pay by credit card, but do take cash or check

    terrible Mike was very rude and he and the 3 boys he had with him packed up about 5% of my belongings . they dumped everything onto the floor and left after an hour and a half . mike claimed 1 of the boys said they got bit by a flea but my self my cat and my 3 friends had no issue with the imaginary flea. they left when they said that about the flea and brought only my 2 large table 6 chairs a bench my recliner which they broke. my cousins 6 year daughter could do a better job then the 4 of them did. the kids he had with him packed the wrong items left out out everything I told them to pack left my my $700.00 coventionand standard functions oven stove and my convection microwave my brand new dresser night stand . when he finished unloading my propery at my apartment he charged me over $2100.00 $600.00 he said was to bug bomb his truck. I went back the next morning to figure out how many boxes I would need to hire another mover to move my stuff and found the new owner took ownership of the condo a week and a half early and had thrown out all my furniture my clothes my mother and father grandmothers and my dogs ashes and family heirloom desk night stand all of the items my family gave me to remember them since I was a child all my medications and much more. the movers threw my 2 couches and my bed out onto the curb instead of bringing them to my apartment and my safe with all my important ids medical records some other personal items of great importants in it and they threw out my Thomas Eddison's canceled check my father passed down to me when he died in 2003 he was given that in 1980. 2 years ago it was valued at $850.00 minimum bid on ebay

    WORST EXPERIENCE!!! If you need a reliable company, this is is not it. We confirmed, paid our deposit. on the day of our scheduled time, no one reaches out to us. I found that strange and begin to call. I receive no response for over 30 minutes. After finally receiving a response, they told us that they did not have movers available. On top of that, they then send us a text message explaining that they have a crew finishing an appointment during our scheduled time, and then they would have to give them a break. Then, that offer no longer became available. Somehow, no one wants to work on a Saturday. Absolutely unprofessional and unreliable.     Perfect! Couldn’t be happier! There was phone communication about arrival time. A team of 5, and it was a great group. They have all been trained very well. They huddled with me and walked the house and the basement and I explained where everything was to go in the new residence. They listened to the driver and worked quickly and efficiently.     They lie (in that they deliberately withhold relevant information), and manipulate. I needed my stuff immediately, and our original contract was for immediate delivery (picture posted) but at some point they just changed it. So now I am stuck in a completely empty house waiting until the last day legally allowed to deliver. They have this game they play where no person you can talk to can ever answer the question, but they will leave a message for the person who can answer it to call you back. They never call you back. My belongings were taken 5 weeks ago, still no word on when it will be delivered, and they don't care. They literally say that they aren't the moving company, they just represent you to the moving company. But they don't represent you! They take a fee from you, and DO NOTHING. One example of my interaction with them, where Carmen is the customer "service" and Tarik is the operation manager: Me: I would like to know where my belongings are. Carmen: Only operations knows that, I don't know. Me: Can I speak to them? Carmen: I will put a message in for them to call you. ONE WEEK LATER - I CALL BACK (as they never called me) Carmen: Your delivery will be there the 14th or 15th. I CALL ON THE 15TH AFTER HEARING NOTHING Me: Can I please speak to operations now? They've never called me back. Never do. Tarik: I just spoke to the moving company, your delivery will be there the 17th or 18th. Me: You told me it would be the 14th or 15th. Tarik: No, I just told you the 17th or 18th. Me: Do you keep a record of calls, and can see what Carmen told me last week? Tarik: Yes, I see you were told the 14th or 15th. Me: And today is the 15th.... Tarik: Oh. Yes, someone should have called you, I apologize. Me: Can you please tell me what you are obligated to do? What I am paying you for? Tarik: I don't have to do that. Goodbye. So they take your money, and then do literally nothing for you. Will only talk to you if you call 4-6 times over days and days, and then hang up on your when you point out they didn't do their job. DO. NOT. USE. It is literally pointless. Just find your own moving company. This place is a joke
