I would highly recommend them. They helped me on my decision on windows. Justin and Dan particularly were very knowledgeable. They really work hard with us and they had great opinions with my deal. They were outstanding so we decided to go to them even though they don't have a cheap price. Their price was worth the quality of their work. They also had wonderful selections and all were branded products.

We found the team to be professional and very responsive to our requests, such as making sure the garden plants were not harmed during the installation. The onsite supervisor made sure that the job was done to his high standards, often pausing to ask us what we thought and explaining the process to us. Besides being punctual, the team also left our home clean and tidy after their work.

Read if sound reduction is important to you We have a home by a busy street with a constant stream of traffic, and decided to replace our windows for an improved sound reduction. After meeting with multiple installers, we decided to work with American Home Renewal. The sales rep appeared very knowledgable, and friendly. During our initial assessment, I've expressed my #1 concern is noise, and that I was willing to choose a higher quality sound reduction window such as the Milgard Quiet Series. The rep explained that if we install the Weather Shield standard double pane, we will be just fine. He even shared that they installed a home within our block. Based on his experience, and company reputation, I fully trusted them to make the right recommendations. That was where I made a mistake. After we installed the double pane windows and patio doors at the price of $31k, the sound reduction was no better than the ones I had before. I expressed my frustration, and the rep mentioned that it's odd and that he never had this issue before. He recommended upgrading our window glass to the Zo-e-shield 6, which is a laminated glass. He stated that this absolutely should do the trick. "It would sound like a tomb in here" After we installed the upgrade, same issue is persisting. The same humming of every single car is coming through. To be clear, we had our walls re-insulated for sound reduction before the windows, so the sound emulation is clearly coming from the windows. The rep said he was baffled, and that we may have faulty windows from Weather Shield. He invited the WS rep to inspect. Both the sales rep and window rep agreed that the sound reduction is not what they expected, and that they will research if I got the right windows. 3 days later, I was the told the windows was built to their standard, and that no further action could be provided. The sales rep offered an apology and that he wished me luck in solving this issue. Welp, I'm down $38k, got windows that performed the same as my previous windows, and an apology for poor recommendation. I did not expect them to be sound experts, but they should have given me the highest quality sound option available. Do not trust their guarantee of "Satisfaction First." Do not trust their expertise. Do not trust Weather Shield products.

had original rotted T1-11 siding as sheer wall replaced with plywood sheer wall, hardy blueskin, and hardie panel siding. also had vinyl replacement windows and sliding door taken out and milgard ultra fiberglass installed instead. all work performed to high quality standard. good flexibility for our participation in the process. very focused on customer satisfaction. would definitely recommend to others who know what they want from their window/door/siding contractor.

Bay City Windows has a showroom for windows and doors. The staff there is very friendly and helped me picked out the windows that suits my needs. The actual day of the job went super smooth. I thought it will take 3-5 days to replace all of the windows. But it only took one day. The crew was super careful in keeping my home clean. They did a great job!

This company was very professional from the salesperson to the installers. Always on time, always informative. We ordered Anlin windows and doors in vinyl and are very pleased. Anlin is a California company and their windows and doors conform to or exceed California's environmental requirements. Their bid was higher by several thousand dollars than two other companies from whom I requested bids. But I'm very pleased with the results, so pleased, in fact, that I decided to replace the remaining 12 windows.

From the initial contact with Garth and throughout the installation process completed by a family of installers, Delfino, Francisco and Victor we could not have been more pleased. Windows were exactly as described.....and the workmanship and attention to detail demonstrated by the installers were unsurpassed. The experience went very well. They had a great crew. They were very fast and professional. They came up with a solution to a problem that I had, by making the window much larger and nicer. I received some estimates that were higher.

John was very thorough with estimate and kept me statused thru-out job. Workers were punctual and clean. John provided guidance on ideas for house and was very professional.

They replaced about 15 windows and 3 doors. They were a little expensive, but, did quality work. They were thorough and gave me estimates. They didn’t sell any retro fit windows, but, they constructed the windows. They were understanding and listened to my requirements. They explained the job before commencing the same. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

It went great, for us. Art had a hard time removing some of the windows due to the contractor who installed them incorrectly when our house was built in 1958. It took him many more hours and much more work to do it correctly. but, to his credit the price on the bill never changed. The windows look great and many of our neighbors have used him because of the great job he did.

Estimate was provided on 10/10/12. I felt the estimate was fair in price and the gentleman had good suggestions - no hard selling. On 10/22/12, their measuring person came over to measure the door and windows. I was told that it would take 5 to 7 weeks to order/make and ship windows and doors. It took a little longer, but considering the weather at the time where they manufacture (back east), I was OK with that. The only thing that bothered me a bit was that they didn't call and tell me when my windows and door arrived - I called to check on the status and found out they had come in. Installation was completed on 12/14/12. The installer did a great job and hauled the old windows and door away - I very much appreciated that. I waited a while to provide a review as everything was installed when is was rainy and damp. I wanted to make sure that the windows and doors would open and close properly as it dried out and got warmer. Everything works perfect. I will definitely use this company again.

We were seeking to replace 8 windows, 1 sliding door, and 1 exterior door and we needed the work done quickly to take advantage of the tax rebate program. We checked around and were impressed with the number of good reviews that Custom Exteriors received on several consumer review sites so we decided to give them a call. Rob, their sales rep, came to our home and worked with us to figure out the type and style of windows and doors best suited for our house. Rob assured us that the windows and doors could be installed well before the tax rebate deadline. Sure enough, two weeks later our windows and doors arrived, and we scheduled installation for the next day. We were somewhat skeptical they would be able to complete the install in one day as quoted, especially in light of the extra trim work we ordered and the fact that one window required a wall build-up where a previous floor-to-ceiling window stood. The installation crew arrived promptly at 9 a.m. and got right to work. The entire crew was friendly, professional, and took great care to protect our carpet and furniture during the install. By the time they finished at 7:30 p.m. that evening, everything had been completed with the exception of the exterior stucco on the build-up (which required a "stucco" guy who showed up the next day as promised). We were extremely pleased with the work performed and with the new windows and doors. They look great and make our home more comfortable and quiet! We highly recommend Custom Exteriors to anyone seeking new windows and doors. We also have a wired home alarm system, and Custom Exteriors worked hand-in-hand with the alarm company to ensure the new windows and doors were alarm-ready when they were finished.

We're neighbors and he gave us an amazing deal. His service was excellent as stated above. Chris was very available, knowledgeable and helpful during our decision-making process. Everything arrived in a timely manner. The product was beautiful and everything worked well. We were totally happy with every aspect and we would do it again with Chris.

They got the permit for the work also. The experience was really good. It is a pretty small local company. One of the owners came out and showed us in detail the different product. He looked at the openings for our windows. Our home is 40 years old so the placement of the windows that met code in 1971 doesn't meet code now. He explained the variances because he is local in our town and knows the building code people very well. He knew which products of the products he sells would fit our openings and still meet the fire codes, which was super helpful. He priced every window and every option and then gave us a total price and an Angie's List discount. We interviewed other companies and not all of them gave us that detailed breakdown. That is one of the reasons we chose them because we could see everything and we loved the transparency. We could have gone to the city and gotten the permit ourselves which would have saved us some money, but they have a service and they gave us a definite price for them to pay a guy to go stand in line at the city permit office. It was around $85 and it was totally optional, but we could save the hassle by paying them a little extra. We went to their showroom and looked at all the different options. We decided to get all the casings and trim put on, which was something we really wanted. They recommended a molding company to us. It would have gone a little smoother if they had been able to coordinate with that company because we had to actually order the molding and take the delivery. The actual installation went great. The guys were very professional and very knowledgeable. It sounded like the owners actually do the scheduling and the installers didn't know some of the exact details of the time it would take. When the guys came that morning, they looked at what we had and which windows had to be new construction to meet code. They said it was going to be a really long day. If the crew chiefs had been in on the scheduling they would have probably scheduled us for a day or 1 1/2 days which would have been easier on them and us. They were probably here 12 hours that day. There were a couple of little things that had to be fixed afterwards and they came on a Saturday that was convenient for us. We would really look forward to working with them in the future. We hope our next house doesn't have vinyl windows so we can use them again.
