- JW Home ImprovementI have used JW Home Improvement on three or four jobs for my home. The quality of their work is uniformly excellent. Their employees are courteous, thorough, and professional, and they always clean up well after completing a job. While they are not the cheapest handyman service in town, you get what you pay for. The only area where they could use some improvement is with their invoicing/billing process. There have been some errors on a couple of my jobs' invoices; however, the office has always made the necessary corrections quickly and without any fuss. Just keep good records of the hours worked by your technician, and you will have no problem
- Builders Fence CoOur townhome community hired Builders Fence to replace a 23-year-old wooden fence with a new vinyl fence. We would highly recommend them. We talked with several companies and there was no comparison with Builders Fence. Scott came out to survey our property and give us a quote. His professionalism, recommendations, follow up and prompt response to all our questions was tops. The installation crew also did a great job. They arrived early, worked non-stop and did a good clean up job

- Builders Fence CoThe entire process with Builder’s Fence was very smooth. They were very responsive on the phone and scheduled someone from sales to come out quickly. Mark was the person I worked with the choose my fence and take measurements. He worked with me on options and gave me a way to save some money, which I really appreciated. They had a lot of customers so my install was scheduled for the end of September, but I ended up getting it installed early when there were cancellations. The final product looks amazing- I can’t stop walking outside to look at it! I had a few other quotes from other vendors which I felt were very overpriced. I got an excellent and gorgeous fence for a very reasonable price

- JW Home ImprovementWe had a wide range of tasks that needed to be done around our house, and we saved a lot of time and money by having JW do all of them, rather than hiring multiple separate firms. Kevin and Soren did an excellent job -- they did quality work, worked efficiently, and and were good to communicate with. Jesse did an excellent job helping us define the scope of our project and identify what needed to be done (and what didn't need to be done). Kevin even made a couple extra trips to complete some electrical work that proved to be more complex than we anticipated. We had a great experience with JW and would recommend them to anyone
- DJ FenceI've always been taught to throw out the high and low bids when hiring a contractor. I need a whole new fence to replace my existing fence for my townhouse. It had to be the same since the HOA is so picky. I had several contractors come and bid on the job. One was out immediately, with the bid twice as much as the others. DJ Fence was the lowest, but a friend had her fence done by them, as has another neighbor of hers, so I went with them. They came on the day they promised, finished the job the same day, and my fence looks clean, sturdy, and secure. The crew was respectful, cleaned up after themselves, and even took the yard debris that was there that they didnt have to. I will heartily recommend them for any fencing job
- G&V Tree Service, IncG&V (Galo & Velasquez families) dies outstanding work. I've used them twice before for "regular" tree-cutting/pruning/stumping services, but they came today for emergency work (fallen tree blocking driveway). Tree dropped two very large limbs on Thursday night; they came to unblock the driveway on Friday and completed the job (complete removal of tree) on Saturday. Extremely responsive, timely, courteous and professional. Highly recommend. Will no doubt use them again
- Deck and Shed ProsThis is the second time we hired Jim and his team with Victor and all their folks. They did an absolutely fantastic job (again) for a very fair price. In our backyard, they removed some rotting wood stairs and replaced them with Techo-Bloc paver stairs to match our other Techo-Bloc stairs. They covered a boring cement front porch and walkway with beautiful flagstone and rock caps. They removed a rotting front porch railing; corrected some errors from the original builders by actually adding 6x6s in the columns; wrapping the columns; building beautiful metal white/black railings; and added a gate so we can allow our pooch to safely sit on the front porch. They even went over the top by sealing our driveway, so everything matched. Highly recommend this company. Thanks, Jim, Victor, and crew!

I've tried to contact them (by email and phone), with no response. Here are the major issues: - the gate post is falling apart, and the gate is literally pulling out of the post. Looking at the construction, the post is falling apart because they used multiple pieces of wood and patched it together, instead of a single solid piece. In addition, they then threw it all together with a nail gun instead of using proper wood screws. (photos 1 and 2) - the gate post is splitting due to poor quality wood. This shouldn't happen on a 6x6 post, which holds up the gate. (photo 3) - the hardware on the gate is installed backwards! I looked at all of the hardware, and it's bi-directional, so this is just straight sloppiness on their part. We are dedicated..Recent Review:The initial contact with Master Fences and estimate by Peter went very well and I was impressed by the handling of everything; until things went south just as I was preparing to sign a contract with them. Basically, I got a bate and switch routine that I didn't see coming. After Peter visited my house and gave me an estimate for either a white vinyl or wooden privacy fence, I asked for a formal contract from Sabrina at the home office. It was then that she told me that Master Fences recently switched vendors so the cost of the reinforced vinyl fence (steel inserts were included with the vinyl fencing initially when I asked for a reinforced fence) would increase by more than $2400 or $900 dollars for wooden inserts due to their new vendor's pricing. Since when does a price quote, that you're basing acceptance of a contract, change at signing? Sabrina told me that both Master Fences and a potential customer, have a three day period to either accept or reject a contract (she's mistaking the three-day right of rescission afforded the customer to dissuade unscrupulous hard sell proprietors that try to force a product or service on a potential client), which wasn't at play since I hadn't signed the contract yet. Furthermore, Sabrina also said that Master Fences was only required to honor an estimate for 30-days. Well, the estimate was done on April 7, 2021 and this conversation took place last Friday, April 30, 2021. And today is May 5th - you do the math! In any event, I informed her that what she was saying wasn't correct, and what Master Fences was trying to do was a sharp business practice - bate and switch. She told me that she would see what she could do, but I've not heard back from her or anyone else at Master Fences. I'm disappointed that I was misled this way and advise any potential customers to do business with a provider that honors what it puts in writingK B.
