Ubuntu is a Linux-based operating system, freely available with both community support and professional support. The Ubuntu community is built on the ideas enshrined in the Ubuntu Manifesto: that software should be freely available (without charge), software tools must be used by people in their own language and despite any disabilities, and those people should be free to adapt and modify applications that you have in any way they believe suits them best.

Why it’s in the Showcase: The site uses WordPress as a CMS and a child theme based on the Thematic framework. The theme is designed for a site with multiple authors, customized pages, beautiful typography, and clean layout.
