I wasn't to sure on what is normal when it comes to contracting major work, but I have two friends doing similar additions and I can tell you... Their contractors do not measure up to ProWorks. They don't cut corners, all materials are top of the line, permitting and inspections are seamless and happen in the background. Also, leaving the house open for months while under construction it was important to have a contractor and crew I could trust, which they were.
