(five dot two dot) branch of that software. Major Releases often are the introduction of new major features and functionality. of WordPress were in the works:

GutenbergGutenberg The Gutenberg project is the new Editor Interface for WordPress. The editor improves the process and experience of creating new content, making writing rich content much simpler. - At the beginning of every month, planned tasks are posted. This is what was planned for February.
- Gutenberg 9.9 and 10.0 were released.
- The Full Site Editing Outreach Program continued to propose interesting testing calls and occasions for intereaction with the tean working on it.

- Josepha posted about Committers, Maintainers, and Emeriti about moving inactive committers to an emeriti status. - Josepha also posted about Making WordPress Releases Easier. And as you can imagine it’s easier said than done. After careful consideration, the previous plan of having four releases in 2021 was scraped. By the end of this year, she will present a plan for 2022-2023.
- Anne posted about the widgets screen becoming block-based: this change was merged in WordPress 5.8
- Hallway Hangout: Fool me once — Writing end-to-end tests against regressions – Hallway Hangouts pop up here and there to replace those rich, productive conversations that sparked many interesting changes in the project when people met in-person.
