The company was professional and prompt. We weren't sure what exactly we wanted, but we were guided through the process with patience and clarity. They performed their work excellently and the result was flawless. There isn't much else to say. Great company.

I don't know where is the other good reviews came from...this contractor is below ethical and quality standards to even grade him... Did a big and costly mistake by hiring them.

The project went very well from start to finish. Ron went out the day after our call to begin preparations for installing the sidewalk on the following day. The cement work was carefully done to have the water run off correctly and into the catch drain. After the cement set-up overnight, they returned the next day to remove the forms. We were very pleased with his timeliness and good work ethic.

MORELLO CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION INC

They were really nice and affordable. We are going to do some work with them. The bid process went really well. They walked me through how the bid was built instead of just giving me a blank bid. They just kind of broke it down and made it really easy for me to understand. I thought it was going to be really expensive and it’s really affordable according to what they showed me that they are going to do which was nice. They were very quick when I called and they were out within 24 hours. They were right on time. I feel very comfortable with this guy.

neighbor's basement, ran a camera thru, dug up cement & replaced part of pipe, & cemented, replaced old cover for another old pipe. Came out at nite within an hour & did checking. Came back a day later & did major work. Went well. James, head plumber, is excellent. We've used him before.

Not well.. The bid did not include any of the details we went over in the walk through. It did not have the correct price or size. Should of been a red flag! The morning of the job her man arrives 1/2 hour early. Good, but he smelled of alcohol. I shoud have turned him around , I wanted to get the job done. He framed up the pad and one corner was out of square. The workers had left the job. Her concret man said he would pour a 6 " slab instead of a 4 " one and not put gravel under it. They fixed the corner. I had one measurement that was important . I did not check it after the corner was fixed. Why should I ? I That is what she gets paid for. I didn't check out the pad until I laid everything out the next day and it is off a inch. I also found out after the the fact that the gravel is there for drainage . I called her for a refund or do it correctly . She said the estimate dosen't say anything about gravel. She then hung up .

T-BAR CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY

Project went very well. Bob and Mel were both very nice and extremely responsive to our schedule and numerous questions. They arrived before 8am each day except when when we were letting the concrete cure. They quickly had a crew in to remove the old patio and cement on day 1. They cleared it all out and kept our front yard clean when they were done for the day. Digging and grading over the next few days was a long process. Some workers were better than others. The guy who did the framing for our steps-Randy, I think, was super detailed in making sure all measurements were exact. But a younger worker didn't dig the grading to the drains deep enough. My husband measured after rebar was in and found some spots would allow for only 1 inch of cement. They sent other guys in to re do the digging on Sat and Sunday. Bob said he would have caught that and fixed before the pour but that is tough to know... After set up was finalized and edited to be exactly what we wanted, pour went very quickly. They did a great job with grading the cement snd not creating any divot areas where water would puddle. Seams were also very nice and done with curves which we weren't expecting but look fantastic. They came back a day or two after the pour, cleaned up most stuff and removed the wood frames. They wanted final payment then but I wanted to wait until all finish work was done before paying the last $1k. This didnt make them happy and it got a little awkward i am glad I held to that. It then it went back to friendly and professional. It took two workers about 4 hours to grind down the edges, patch a few spots on the steps and paint the house where the concrete had splattered. We provided the paint. Friends and family rave about the work and we will recommend them to others.

The patio was poured in February 2018. Had I reviewed them then they probably would have gotten straight As. Unfortunately after less then 4 months the patio is cracking. I reached out to Abe and he finally returned my email saying cement cracks and basically there was nothing he could do. I understand the cement cracks but in under 4 months? I have a porch and sidewalk that was poured in 2009 and not one crack on it.

They were fine. I didn't use them because of the price. Their price wasn't that out of line. They were all pretty close but the other company was $100.00 cheaper. They were timely. They were good. I consider getting an estimate from them again.

PEPI'S CONCRETE GRADING & PAVING INC
5.0
I was happy with the work. They were on time both days. Pepi met with me twice to discuss all the options and was very easy to work with. They left a couple of items that I had to clean up, but the overall experience was great. Pepi and I discussed other projects I'd like to do, and I will use him again when I'm ready to do other projects.

Contractor, while very personable, is unable to perform work as promised. There were constant delays and never-ending personal excuses. When workers did show up they were also very personable, but completely unprepared for the work and never could provide what we wanted, though it was a rather simple job. First problem: it took 1 month to get a job quote, despite numerous promises to provide the quote "tomorrow". Second problem: we asked for a resurfacing of an old concrete patio and wanted it to match new paver stones. Every time we discussed the job, we were told this was no problem, that they were well experienced in this specific work and that we would get exactly what we were asking for. After numerous sample boards, none were even close to the pavers, either in texture or in colors. We began to wonder if they were having trouble understanding us or if they just couldn't do the work with the materials they were using. Third problem: They repaired old cracks in the existing concrete and that appears to have been done well. Time will tell, as this should last forever. They placed a "bond coat" which bonds to the old concrete and allows the application of texture coats on top. Though we discussed the texture coat at least a dozen times, when it was finally laid down, it had large and countless bubble marks that were plain ugly and certainly didn't look anything like the pavers they were supposed to match. Fourth problem: After trying to convince us to accept a ready-made stamp texture, which also did not remotely resemble the simple sandy-textured pavers, they went back to their lab and tried to create more sample boards for our approval. They took weeks to produce these and we never actually got to see them. They did come back, at my insistence, to sand down the terrible texture coat that they had applied. Still no sample boards, and we got so many excuses about other things interfering with their ability to do our job, that we finally fired them. Fifth problem: Now we were left with a partially sanded, very lumpy and ugly texture coat. The only real work that had been accomplished that we could use was the crack repair and the first bond coat. For this we paid $2000. We asked for a refund of at least $1000, and would have settled for less, but got only a story about how much time they had spent on our job. I pointed out that this was not a time and materials contract and that time spent with no results is worthless. I got more excuses about the lack of good employees and the inexperience of one of only two people we had seen on our job. Overall problem: While the company owner, Dan Koloski, is a kind man, he is a terrible business man. He cannot focus on the task at hand and cannot deliver anything he promises. He has only one experienced workman and he uses an old-style material that is very limited in its ability to create simple textures and surfaces. He really is only set up to do stamping with ready-made rubber stamp impressions. He does not have the skill or expertise to do anything customized. I have since spoken with another dissatisfied customer of his, who spent many thousands of dollars, only to have the material bubble, crack and peel a few years later. This is the nightmare you never want to have happen on your patio or surface!

Bob was very punctual from the time I had asked him to come to give me an estimate, to giving me an estimate, then scheduling me for the job to be done. It went as planned and in the time frame in which he said the job was to be completed. The quality of work was excellent, and all of the workmen were polite and respectful of the property and the properties in close proximity to our home. They cleaned up after each day so not to disturb anyone using the areas near the project. They also couldn't have been more helpful when asked to do anything extra that was not in their job description, however related to the project. I would recommend them at anytime if someone asked who had done our project.

They did an excellent job, were timely and they cleaned up after themselves. They were within the appropriate price range and we negotiated on the price. My introduction was watching them work at my next door neighbors. After the heavy rains, both of us suffered flooding. I had work done two years ago by a Berkeley company and it made the problem worse (that is another story) The team assigned to the project was excellent. Special kudos to the foreman, Ramon. Project was completed yesterday and I wanted to let others know how much difference the right people can make.

Cement Companies Near You

Cement companies carry out many different useful functions - they specialize in cement and concrete applications that include surface textures, mixing/applying pigment and laying concrete into form work. As a result, cement companies can also install driveways, floors, pool decks, and many other useful structures. These companies are also useful for fixing common cement problems in the home.

What cement applications are used in the home?

  • Concrete floors - The durable and cost effective options for your home. They require high quality cement to be mixed, installed, and polished. Most projects take between 2 to 6 days to complete, but the floor will remain in good shape for years to come.
  • Driveways - Also durable and easy to maintain. Cement companies can provide quality grade cement for driveway installations at competitive prices. They may also consider using the right thickness and drainage pattern for runoff water.
  • Sidewalks and outside landscaping - Commonly used for constructing pool decks, sidewalks, and other outdoor structures. The cement grade should be customized, water resistant, and not easily cracked/damaged.

How much will a cement company near me charge?

Concrete sidewalks cost between $5 to $15 per square foot, while driveways cost between $5 to $10 per square foot to install. Concrete floors typically cost between $5 to $8 per square foot, but their cost varies depending on the size of the room as well as any desired finishing options.

How much will a cement service near me charge for labor?

Cement contractors often charge between $50 to $100 per hour for labor costs. The cement companies cost will depend on your actual project as well as your design preferences.

The primary role of cement companies will involve delivering cement (premixed or on site), installing the desired structure, or subcontracting various portions of the project.

How much will a cement company near me charge for repairs?

The cost for repairs will often vary between $3 to $9 per square foot, with most projects costing $2,500 to $8,500 for repairs.

Common repairs that contractors carry out include fixing broken slabs of concrete, adding sealant to floors and driveways (for water resistance), and strengthening worn out concrete layers.
