Hi it's Mariam, I'm the new organiser for WordPressExeter and excited at the chance to meet you all soon.

It's brilliant to be inviting you to a watch party for the 2021 State of the Word livestream.

Tuesday December 14
UK time 10pm -11pm

We are also planning a pre-meet from 8.30pm and an after watch party chat until 11.30pm.

If you are free, get here a bit early, because as the new organiser for this meetup I'm keen to share new plans for 2022 and get your ideas for monthly events.

We will also watch the State of the Word event together and then have some time to chat afterwards about new developments shared.

By RSVPing you will be sent the link to the pre and after party Exeter chats and the live event delivered via the live YouTube link by WordCamp closer to the event. (I'm still working on some of the technicalities...)

"State of the Word is an annual keynote address delivered by the WordPress project co-founder, Matt Mullenweg. The event includes key updates about the WordPress project and community, highlights from the past year, and questions from the vibrant WordPress community about our most beloved open source software.

We'll be meeting online. The event will be hosted in a watch party format, where we will all watch the State of the Word together in a hangout. There will be time for everyone to connect, chat, and share their thoughts!

Don't forget to bring your WordPress spirit! Dust off some of your favorite WordPress swag while we come together to celebrate another year of WordPress."
