    Haris and his crew went above and beyond to help me with a recent renovation of a rental property. He was quick to come out at give me estimates, and even made suggestions that made the place look great while saving me money. He and his crew painted a unit and installed click-lock LVP flooring and installed a kitchen backsplash. In addition, they did some other punch-list odds and ends to help get the place rent-ready, free of charge. The crew was professional and worked quickly. Haris met me afterwards to go over the work at which time I paid him. His prices were reasonable and the work was done well. FInally, the best part about working with Haris is his personality. He is a wonderful person to be around and has a love for life that is infectious! I will definitely hire Haris again on future projects

Terry handled questions and requests throughout the process with the highest expertise and anticipated what was needed even before we asked; we called him the “Answer Man.” He even made an extra visit to inspect what was needed prior to installation after our general contractor finished wall revisions Prep work included moving large furniture; removal of old carpet, hardwood, & moldings; replacing a small section of subflooring with plywood, and patching floors where walls had been revised Finish work included shortening closet doors; installing new thresholds to three adjoining rooms which transitioned beautifully; and complimentary trim along entry doors & on basement stair landing Completed flooring ahead of schedule, on budget, with highest quality workmanship and attention to detail especially fitting around sliding doors and stairs; pleasantly surprised that walls and trim needed only minimal paint & retouch after this major installation They worked extra hours to complete the add-on job of painting and installing new baseboard & shoe stop moldings; Terry went out of his way to locate the corner molding blocks we wanted.     We have used the services of 518 Remodel on two separate occasions. Their service and work have always been outstanding. In the fall of 2017 they added 8 feet to our garage and then built and outfitted a mudroom/ laundry room for us. This was an extensive project which required construction, excavation, paving, electrical, plumbing, painting, concrete and drywall work. All this work was completed to the highest standards. We again, hired this company in March 2021, to do some attic work and to retile 2 bathrooms. Here again we were fully satisfied and impressed with the jobs that were done for us. Sal, the owner, has subcontractors commence work in a timely manner, and he always returns your call and attends to all of the customers needs.     Happy I found Derek.. he shows up when he says he will, he gets it done, and he doesnt complain. Finding a calm and rational contractor can be hard sometimes, and that’s what Derek is - calm and rational. Derek installed 17 windows for me, 2 new front doors, and 2 new screen doors. He also painted a large empty apt for me, and did it in near record time. The man can paint. He did many other things for me, too. I totally trust him around my tenants and I trust him in their units when they are not home. He keeps good records, and he sent me his insurance cert without me even asking.     For many years we debated whether or not to have the carpeted stairs and second-floor hallway in our 1984 home remodeled with hardwood. After finally deciding to forge ahead, it came time to determine who would do the best job. One of the businesses we came upon was Towne Decorators in Rotterdam, NY. They weren't the lowest priced nor were they the highest, but there was something about Dave Tomasek, who came out to do an estimate, that just felt right. He was on time, polite, professional, and listened to what we, the customers, wanted. We decided to go with his family-run operation that had been in business for decades. We visited the store to finalize wood styles and colors and he could not have been more accommodating. A few days prior to the day of installation, Dave dropped off the flooring so it could acclimate to our home's environment. He called to let us know that he was on his way but would be arriving 8 minutes late, asking if that was okay with us. Amazing. Who does that anymore? A few days before the installation, there was a major accident in our area that damaged (and closed) a bridge and caused daily traffic jams. On the day of installation, the installers got tied up in one of the jams and called to say they would be just a few minutes late. Again, who does that? Every person at Towne Decorators is so polite and respectful of the customers' time. As for the installers, we were hoping to have workers show up who had some experience doing this type of work. Instead, we got Larry and Jason (hope I got the names right), two true craftsmen with the hands and eyes of a surgeon! They were respectful of our home and non-intrusive, cleaning up everything as they went along. We could hear them almost agonizing over the minuscule adjustments they had to make in our far-from-perfect floors and stairs. It had been many years since I had seen work of such a high caliber. I can not say enough good about Towne Decorators, their employees, and their workmanship. It is often said that you get what you pay for. In this case we couldn't be happier with what we got. And there were no surprise add-ons in the final bill. Full disclosure; we are not related to or friends with anyone at Towne Decorators nor do we know anyone who is. This is a straight-up, unbiased review. Tired of getting second-rate flooring work? Call these guys. You won't be sorry.
