  Deceptive Practices / Fraud Alert American Vintage Home (AVH) has engaged in deceptive practices in order to charge me more money than initially quoted. It appears they are using a bait and switch method where the initial quote was lower in order to secure the contract; however, the ensuing work then "uncovered a new problem" that more than doubled the initial quote. AVH was hired July 20th 2021, to complete a comprehensive inspection of a sewer line repair that resulted in a work proposal of approximately $8,000.00. As part of the contract to complete the work, AVH was supposed to provide video recordings of the work prior to and after the work was completed. During the work phase, AVH used a camera to scope the entire sewer line on four separate occasions; each time I was told the entire sewer line was in great shape and did not need any repairs beyond the original proposal. After multiple delays, the plumbing supervisor Kris Kauth, met with me on site on August 9th, 2021, to review the completed work. During this review, Kris used a camera to view the entire sewer line and reported all of their proposed work is complete and the entire sewer line was in intact. Kris also suggested that they would use their "jetter" to clear out a little sludge left in the pipe from their work and once they completed that task, they would collect the balance for the project. Again, I asked Kris to provide the copies of the video and schedule the jetting of the sewer line with me so that I could be on site and review the completed project. Kris refused to provide the recorded video. I attempted to schedule the jetting on 3 separate occasions but I kept being delayed. Kris then called on 11/4/21 saying the work was done but they uncovered a new problem that would require $10,000.00 to fix. Kris advised they jetted the sewer line on 9/2/21 without notifying me. Kris again denied my request for the videos stating they never recorded their work. AVH either caused the damage or intentionally withheld the information. To date, I have not received any assistance or offer from the business to resolve their colossal error

  I tried to install my smart thermostat without a C-wire. I'd installed it just fine in my previous house but this one was a nightmare. Ended up throwing my hands up in frustration and calling All Temp. The entire service was 5-star. They originally scheduled the call for 1-5pm. Ended up calling to ask if I would be home early if the tech made it. I said sure thing. They called a little later to let me know it was going to end up being around 2pm because the last call got a little hairy. No problem. Tech called me 30 minutes before he showed up, exactly as promised. So, great communication throughout the day letting me know time frames and possible adjustments. No surprises. When Ed Baharopoulos (technician) showed up he was fully masked, no nose hanging out, and super polite. He let me explain the problem I was having (rather than shove me aside and ignore my info), investigated the issue letting me know step by step what he was looking at, fixed the issue letting me know what was wrong and how he was fixing it, pointed out things I could do myself as regular maintenance, etc. The whole issue was poor wiring from the previous owner. Ed never even spoke ill of that, he just pointed out what was wrong and how to fix it...and he ran the C-wire for me. $200 and I was up and running, better educated, and loaded with a list of things I can do myself to prevent more expensive repairs later. I will absolutely call All Temp again, should I need more work done

  Finally, an HVAC service provider that is prompt, trustworthy, competent, and friendly! Buying an older home has led to a steep learning curve on major appliances, and we have had our share of not-great experiences so far going with the outfits you typically see driving down the street. Reached out to TRG after reading reviews, and we were in a tight spot as our central AC stopped blowing cold air in the peak of summer heat & humidity. Will made every effort to go out of his way & get us back up and running, even coming over at the end of his day. He was transparent with what was going on, what he thought it would take to remedy the situation, and what may or may not work. He talked me through the issue & parts needed, and recommended how to clean/maintain the unit to minimize future issues. The house has been icy cold for weeks now, and whenever we need service, maintenance, or new units - TRG is our new crew

  Fantastic customer service! Jasper made sure my air conditioner was replaced in a timely manner by Josh, who was friendly and professional. I didn't catch the name of Josh's work partner, but he was also very personable. They got done in under 5 hours (they had to do the whole system, including the condenser on the roof of a 3-story walk-up), and kept me informed of their progress. Jasper called a few days later to make sure I was satisfied (yes, I was, very) and has told me to call him with any questions or concerns. I have a new HVAC company

  This is a horrible company that does not stand by their work. Flooded our basement by installing our sump pump wrong and then saying it wasn't their fault. They cam out and did the start up and told us we were all set. Then our basement flooded. Their service guy was in our sump room for 20 minutes and told us it was not installed correctly and they would make it right - but the next day said he was not in the room for 20 minutes fixing their mistake. The owner told us they were not going to do anything and to call our insurance company since the basement will probably mold. Shysters
